Bronze 1 Players Shouldn't Be Matched With Silver 5's

Why should I hide it, I'm sick of feeding garbage.

Just had a gnar feed 4 kills before the 5 minute mark placing me at a disadvantage with a 2 - 0 Zed. He later went on to feed 7 more deaths and was either trolling or inting our team on purpose.

Needless to say, I lost my lane and lost the game. Why Riot, why can't silver 5 players get demoted? Why do I have to suffer the consequences for someone's in - ability to play a game correctly? Before you look at my match history and say, well you're garbage too for feeding 8 deaths. Tell me what I'm supposed to do as a squishy underfed carry when a fed Zed is roaming mid.

Oh and the entire team refused to surrender until Graves got a penta - kill on us. While my team yelled they would report me for not leaving spawn because even if I did, I would just get sent back 2 minutes later. Woop de Woop.

bronze 1 is the same thing as silver 5 LOL

I get matched up against golds when i q with my silver friend and they're still some ass.

If you can't carry trash, you belong at your Elo. This is the logic I hear all the time and I'm sick of it. The outcome of the game isn't determined by the better player. It's which team has the handicapped one.

Unless you're a high elo player and have been playing for years and can pub stomp your lane with a hyper carry, then you're in for a rude awakening...

So just accept that every win and loss was undeserved?

it sucks when u get shit teamates but aslong as you can mantain higher than a 50% winrate you'll eventually climb higher

every elo has shit teamates, and they deal with it instead of crying about it.

A wise man once said:

40% of your wins are games your team would have won no matter how terribly you did. Be grateful for them, but don't let them go to your head.

40% of losses are games your team would have lost no matter how well you performed. Look for what you can learn from them, but don't take them too hard.

The remaining 20% will be won or lost depending on how you play. Give them your all.

The friend of mine that told me that climbed from Bronze 5 to Silver 2 that season. If he can do it, so can you.

While that sounds awesome, I would like to know the math behind that reasoning. it's most likely just random numbers but I do think there's truth behind the idea.

The numbers are likely a little fast and loose, but it stands to reason that you're unlikely to maintain a win rate > 60%, or have a win rate < 40%. Thus that 20% range is what you bring to the table.

Then again, this same friend kept stats on everything, including how many times he'd played with each skin purchased so he could calculate how much he spent per game with that skin (one of his Wukong skins got down to $0.02 per game). He might have had some stats to back up his numbers I just wasn't aware of.

MMR is different than your tier

A silver v player can easily have the mmr of a bronze III or bronze II player. There is almost no difference between low silver and high bronze players.

The real issue is smurfing.

There are too many people in bronze who willingly throw games to stay in bronze. A lot of higher bronze players will willingly throw promos and other things to lose lp.

There is no difference between Bronze I and Silver V except a few lucky matches.
