yeah historically, they don't seem to treat eve nicely, I really honestly feel, the Riot developer team feels Eve is inappropriate or something, feels like they badmouth her a lot.

Her only real theme and calling card (perma-stealth) is something that is **incredibly ** hard to balance, resulting in her often either being too OP (e.g., beta/beginning of Season 1) or completely dumpstered for game health reason (Eve mid Season 1 til rework). I'm sure there are many in Riot who probably wish Eve was never released.

Evelynn does not have proper stealth but rather, a ward bypass. This was the bone they threw at us after removing her actual stealth back in the day. Her core premise is burst damage and pseudo stealth, these are fairly easy to balance around.

That is still hard to balance, as evident by current Eve. Don't underestimate the power of ward bypassment; burst when you can only be seen (w/o the aid of good enemy pink placement) when you are in the immediate vicinity of the enemy can easily be pushed to near broken levels. There is a reason why Eve is one of the few (the only?) champs with an offensive ult (vs defensive or pure utility) that can't actually kill anyone.

Well if we think about her objectively as a champion, in the hands of people who know how to abuse her kit, she's downright oppressive to play against. It is very bad feeling gameplay to just randomly die because a champion you had no idea was coming randomly pops up and kills you.

5 AD being taken away is a huge nerf to jungle tankko, and in the early game it hurts Tank Ekko's ability to last hit. Tank Ekko's runes never really have AD runes, it's usually attack speed marks, so that 5 AD hurts hard, and forces people to possibly adjust their runes. The other thing is that you see Ekko WAY more than you see Evelynn, meaning you learn how to counterplay an Ekko way faster than you do an Evelynn, making her feel much more opressive. I STILL forget the pink ward behind the bush wall trick, even though I've learned that that's how you stop Eve ganks

Um...what? I've never heard a single complaint about an AP Tank Ekko. How would that even work? Sacrificing tank items for AP makes you nowhere near as tanky as you should be in the late game, and not buying a sustained damage item (Trinity Force) means you'll fall of extremely when the late game comes. AP Tank Ekko isn't a threat, it was Trinity Force into pure tank Ekko that everyone hated

just because the flavor of the month is full tank ekko doesnt mean AP tank ekko and assassin ekko are not problems aswell lol. this is rengar syndrome all over again. people were so ass blasted mad about tank rengar that they forgot how stupid assassin rengar was aswell.

Except you have two entirely different issues. Tank Rengar was annoying because he could stick to you for ages and still kill you, which meant the counterplay of "Just get him off you" didn't apply.

People hate Rengar because he blows you up from stealth faster than you can humanly react. He still dies hyper fast because he's squishy, so there's the balance there, but this was an issue of game feel, not balance.

Those are two completely different issues and reasons to hate Rengar. You can't just claim Ekko as a champion is broken because playing against his tank build is frustrating. Ekko as a champion isn't broken. The tank build is.

eve is only really a thing if she gets a 2 level lead, once that happens she can be pretty toxic just because she bypasses wards, but I gotta say it's really unfair that I don't have the sustain other champions do. that's really my only real beef with eve I'm so reliant on everyone on my team for everything I do, and in the low ellos or Normal people won't come together to help me play the game the way it has to be played for eve to maintaina equal level setting.
