Suggestion: roaming support item

A fourth support item line, with names and images referring the powerful nature of the shadow isles before they were overtaken by the evil spirits, that is now corrupted and twisted. Ancient coin gives movement speed only at first upgrade, the basic item gives only mana regen. The passive works on nearby minions. My suggestion for the roaming supp item: Stats: +3/+6/+12% movespeed. +0/+4/+8% resistances +0/+50/+100% base hp regen

Passive: Being at more than 1000 units from a minion death without dealing the killing blow has a 30% chance of granting +1/2/3 gold. Upon moving and reaching a point that is 1000 units in a straight line away from the starting point, grants additional 1/2/2 gold per 10 seconds, gradually increasing with the covered distance up to 3/3/5 gold per 10 seconds at 3000 units in a straight line from the starting point.

3d level item active: grants bonus resistances to allies fleeing from enemy champions and bonus offensive stats to champions chasing enemies oover a large area of effect.

Opinions on this?

Asking for an opinion and getting a dislike is funny, and I don't mean it in a salty way, it actually feels like a meme.

The problem with that is. A Roaming support isn't really going to be fully supported as a Full time role. To put it simply, their are so may champs that can roam, that they don't really need an item to enable them. Also, because of a potential lane swap, the amount that a support can roam is so variable, that it's not efficient to build an item around that.

Didn't really get it. There are many champs that can roam, but they don't do it because of the loss of XP and gold. Giving them a high gold income item is the solution to make a role viable that Riot wants viable, as they stated upon Bard's release. Also, laneswaps are exactly what would allow full roaming. When you have a fast pushing toplaner, you can laneswap, make him 1v2, make the adc 1v1 the enemy toplaner, and pick a "support" that focuses on roaming and creating kill/push/objective occasions all over the map like a jungler.

First of all, if your losing xp by roaming, that means your ADC is getting solo XP. Riot has to balance around the total xp, not just the supports. If you reward all supports for roaming with XP, that would almost always require the support to roam. And it would make the Lane swaps more common that it already is. (which is pretty common)

to an extend, a good support isn't even that level reliant. Though this will vary from support to support. Thresh does not need a lot of ranks, in his Q. All he really needs is to land a hook. I'd rather give that xp to the ADC who will get slightly more AD and HP, and Armor, making trading in lane slightly easier. I didn't become a good support by being greedy.

I didn't say giving XP, I said giving gold to compensate for the lost XP.

Supports really don't need gold either. but aside from that, I still say that roaming supports don't need much. (if they get a successful gank, it auto worth)

But looking closer at your item, I would argue that it's not even support exclusive. (unless you change some of the wording.) Being a 1000 units away from a minion death could be useful for the Jungler, so does the second passive as well.

I thought that the jungler item counted as gold income and couldn't as such be taken with this one, mb.

not anymore, as I recall correctly you can buy hunter's machete and it's upgrades along side a major support item. Other wise the notion of smite supports could never have been explored.
