You get more chests by playing different champions well, it is suppose to reward diversity because you can only get one per champion. Which I think is BS. I have no interest in playing champions I don't enjoy and am not good at.

Basically. It's not just one tricks though. It's also anybody who has a reasonable champion pool that they practice and use to advance in ranked and have fun with. Basically if you aren't an ARAM main who owns 133 champions, screw you.

Were you expecting Riot to give away free content without making you work a little for it?

You only need 52 champs, less than half the pool to get a chest each week (probably closer to 60-odd because chests have a 6 day timer) and that's to get maximum benefit. Even if you aren't great on half that number, queue up with friends and let them carry you to a chest, then return the favor. There are plenty of ways to work the system.

If you aren't interested in playing different champs, that's fine. But you shouldn't be complaining about not getting free content if you chose not to put in the effort to earn it.

I dunno, I own most of the champs and have earned chests on at least half of them, most of which only have seen one to five PVP games. It sux because I have a very limited roster to actually gain a chest until the new season.

If the fact that you own the champ, but just suck with it or just hardly any play time with...play some bot matches to learn them better, learn some combos, try different roles, then throw them in PVP and give it your all.

For example I suck, and I mean SUCK at karthus, and my FIRST SR game with him I got an S- and a chest. I can only thank the numerous games if bots I played him in because he's a very interesting champ, but his early game is awful with mana costs and such. But mid-late he can literally Controll the map.

So in reality, it's very possible to get chests on champs you don't like or play or just can't use. It just takes time and effort to get better and earn that saught after chest.

Whenever I feel like getting a chest I just spam ARAM until...

I get a champ I haven't gotten a chest with.
Hope my team carries me or I get lucky and do well.

Got quite a few chests that way. :3

As the season progresses, it gets harder and harder to get chests because you run our of champions you can play decently enough to get an S... Or actually want to play.
