@Riot, you guys did some damage to Curse Voice that you never repaired.

Back in the day you guys had this whole 'Curse Voice violates our Terms of Service blah blah blah if you uninstall it now we'll look the other way but if you keep using it after this warning we'll start suspending players' stance. Then you added jungle timers to the game. Then you invested in Curse.

Back before you guys screwed it over, you'd join a game lobby, someone would post their Curse Voice link in you'd get at least 3 out of 5 players on voice comms with you.

Nowadays, even after Riot legitimized it, Curse Voice's relationship with LoL isn't what it once was. I pretty much only use it with premades now. I go into a LoL Lobby and having a cv link posted in chat seems completely foreign.

Is this just a talking post or is there a point?

Have you tried Discord as an alternative? I know Curse voice has all kinds of features for the games it's used in, but Discord can very easily allow you to make a server in a couple clicks and try to invite your team-mates for communication, and the way I see it, almost everybody knows what that is at this point.

Can confirm, Discord is easier then Curse (and sounds much nicer then Skype). Just set up servers for a group of my friends in both, and Discord was a hell of a lot easier to then invite people too

if they had left it DQ wouldn't be as big of a problem as now

It was kind of cool back when Curse voice was big. As a long time Skype user it was very interesting to just have team members join your call for the match. Personally I think it was the least toxic time I've ever played League. Not that all my other games before and since were particularly toxic, but I don't have a single bad memory out of those games where we were all on Curse.

Unfortunately I do have to say that the only reason Curse was popular is because of the timer advantage. People are not staying away from it simply because Riot once had to stop it's use for violating their terms; people just don't care that much about the communication convenience it offers. Getting everyone to better communicate with one another was just a side benefit to the timers.

What I would personally like to see now is Curse have the timers added back in. We have that information, and more, with the current UI, so all Curse would be doing as of now would be changing where on the UI you look for that information. I do not believe that goes against any terms Riot has set, and might give Curse back some of it's former popularity.
