Imo Adc is the worst role to try to climb with in bronze.

Unreliable peel, supports, jungler, mid. Most folks in bronze lack mechanics, not building right, failing proper positioning, missing hella cs or fighting over it with derpy support autoing waves... So many little things that make this role undesirable to consistently carry imo. Mid scales faster off EXP then most marksmen, Can have higher impact with proper spell usage even with less items or gold. Can roam and abuse the worst player on enemy team. Can impact all 3 lanes. Top, TP. can impact 2 some times 3 lanes. Jungle, Impacts all 3 lanes. Support, Impact 1 some times 2 lanes pending on who ya play. Adc almost exclusively their impacts own lane until lane phase ends as losing Gold generations a real negative for that class.

Admittedly, don't have much personal experience playing bronze and got 0 this season. Just my observations on the class from watching some homies try and fail to carry themselves up ladder because they believe that ADC is the best class and matters most.

Edit. I derped, This is for people in that elo, smurfs and substantially higher skill players can do pretty much what ever they want and do well.

are u trying to tell me its easier to carry as a Nami support in bronze then it is to carry as a vayne ADC

Kai Guy9 votes

Absolutely. If your bubbles are good people in bronze struggle to dodge shit. A mage support would probably be the quicker and easier way to climb and be less team dependent and require less mechanical skill.

Lets me check. Brozne on champion.gg. Vayne 51.10% Nami 53.38% Looks like the fishy does better with players in that elo.

I realize I lacked a key part of my opening post, I'm talking about if your AT that level of skill, not for higher skill players or smurfs. Ill go edit that in now. doh.

Ive never had the pleasure of playing in bronze, but Imma take your word for it. This probably explains why my friend Kadeem is stuck in bronze 5

Kai Guy1 votes

Please, don't take my word for it. Think about it for a second, consider what you know about your hommie Kadeem. If hes like my b5-4 hommies he has probably bugged ya for help to improve. Have you tried, did ya ever spectate him.

Its easy to get sucked into Confirmation bias so lend me a hand with your own opinion and thoughts.

ADC is my worst role Im afraid, but my friend Kadeem does upload his matches on youtube in an effort to improve, if you goto youtube and type in kadeem league of legends Im sure you'll find his channel. maybe you can provide some pointers to the guy. Cheers

Keeping up with the bronzie shaming meta of Boards, I provided the first downvote

Kai Guy5 votes

I don't think bronzies need to be shamed. A good % of people playing lol are bronze, huge majority of the game is bronze and silver. They are playing to enjoy the game and have fun just like any one else. I myself started as a Low bronze player season 1.

I just see all this ADC OP ADC BROKE ADC 1 SHOT ADC TILT ADC WTFRITO spam on boards and I think its misleading folks to adapt a view they can climb ladder spamming this "OP" role. When if your mechanics need to improve your going to be very frustrated playing adc and that gets compounded when your teammates don't back you up properly.

Not all players in bronze have terrible mechanics, but many do need to improve their play. Its not to shame them, its a realistc view on how that elo functions. People in bronze who want to get out and/or get better should have access to relevant knowledge to do so. Trying to become a strong ADC player when your in lower elo is harder then learning mechanics from playing other roles. You have less windows to thrive, lower impact early, and with out good mechanical backing that class has some real flaws despite what people say on boards.

Please, do let me know what it was I said or what wording I used that made ya feel I'm shamming bronze players as its not my desire and I'm entirely happy to rewrite anything that's not expressing my intent properly.

Check some of the responses I get in my history, there are a lot of elitists on Boards who like to try and dismiss opinions (valid or not) if they see youre under Diamond via OPGG. This is why I dont post as much as I used to, back when the divide wasnt as big

Fk em, Sorry if this offends any one but its Stupid for that attitude to show up. Majority of players are in Bronze and silver. Gameplay Boards statement is "Culture Here you’ll find all sorts of discussions related to playing League of Legends. From discussions about your personal strategies, to speculation about the next champion or patch, if it’s about playing the game, it goes here." Its not "High elo players opinions matter most! If your a low elo peasant STFU and stay in your place."

I went over it and edit out a few of the places I was less then respectful. I enjoy folks who enjoy the game, I'm kind of a dick to people who feel "I don't belong in my elo everybody garbage compared to me and Rito/meta/teammates are the only thing keeping me down."

There's no shame being in low elo.

Anyhow id like to hear your take on the matter. My opinion for climbing bronze is Adc

Heres my understanding of the roles:

Top/Mid/ADC are the core lane control, they matter the most when it comes to taking towers and progressing towards the enemy Nexus, so it makes sense for them to have a more damage-oriented build. Top is more varied, because there is no real label requirement, but typically you see close range carries or bulky secondaries (Mundo, Renekton, etc, who dont typically have carry oriented builds).

Jungle is the role required to hold down all three lanes to some extent, especially a lane that is doing well, to ensure the lane controller is able to pursue their objective. Because of the Jungler's massive job, they need the most map awareness and typically prefer speed over bulk because they have to keep moving to both stay relevant in levels on top of their job of holding lanes better than their enemy counterpart.

Supports focus mainly on the components their team lacks, such as bulk, sustain, or forms of CC. Very rarely does a team lack damage, so supports do not necessarily require a damage-oriented build unless one of the lane controllers is exclusively focusing on a bulk builds, keeping in mind their own strengths and limits in the mean time. The build must also vary and lean towards some bulk if at least 2 enemy lane controllers AND the jungler are focused on damage-oriented builds, to avoid being the weakest link that leads to a domino effect in weakness.

Bronze ADC main, can confirm. I'm not even that great at top lane but I win a higher percentage of games playing top than at my MAIN position that I have practiced and practiced and practiced at.

I'm not the best, but I can't overcome the 4/13 GP into Nasus I just had on my team.

Chromatic Eagle2 votes

I might actually be silver by now if I focused exclusively on support, or at least play a different marksman.

Kai Guy1 votes

With your permission I could look at your history and stats for ya.

Chromatic Eagle1 votes

Why? I try out different champs and roles, and have losing streaks. I know why I’m the rank I am lol

Aight, Carry on then mate. GL and hf. (learning each champion and role will ultimately make you a better player so keep at it.)

Play something like Tristana Ezreal Twitch Vayne

Kai Guy1 votes

I personaly tend to end up as Plat, been playing from season 1 and feel learning champions mechanics is a benefit. So for gold to plat My adc pool looks like this. Ashe Tristana Ezreal Jhin Jinx MissFortune Twitch Xayah Caitlyn . Feel like when any of them are in a good spot or fit a comp I can do well on them and not drag donw the team and 3-4 of them I will do well with disregarding comps.

I really like Kalista Quinn but realistically wouldn't expect to do good on them outside of normals. Id like to be better at Vayne but I get to dam aggressive for my own good chasing that 3rd hit. I blame playing Gnar even thou I know its just my own failing as a player.

This preseason with new runes and all I have had hella fun playing Kindred botlane but its cheese and It would be dishonest to tell folks otherwise. (but that assassin meta preseason was great, R and watch the rage. 14+ stacks and RFC = stupid range + lethal tempo and Q making pre nerf rework koggles level of AS ad higher range then cait. Hilarity!)

Try practicing different roles, starting from normals. People who play bot/supp in ranked are usually those who are confident that role or have a duo. Or maybe they got autofilled to supp.

With no disrespect intended to any one, I can likely make it to gold with a majority of the champions in game. I made this post because I have Bronze homies who have come to believe that ADC is _**THE **_game deciding role and suffered for it. My first hand experience is a few folks took the last 7-9 months of adc boards tilt as a sign that's the role to play, when their mechanics remain lacking, and they are bad at adc because its contrary to their pref playstyle. What I saw when looking at their games, they front line as ADC cuz they wanna go ham, 1 played smart, cs well, warded and had decent awareness but had lots of losses from 0 peel and teammates going way to hard outside of his realistic range of damage as well as a few the enemy support was on point and crippled his lane phase even with an adc that looked to play much weaker then he did.
