How do grades work in ARAM?

Because I feel like I got robbed a little here.

-Great kill participation -Never dies -Never buys anything but the starting B.F Sword -Highest CS -Game ends before team can put in a normal surrender vote.

"You've earned an A for this game."

And, I know, the comments section is going to be like, "Riot's algorithms work in mysterious ways," and "if you don't like it, leave," so I want to stamp that out early and say that not getting an S is not actually why I'm mad. I will fully admit that I'm kinda salty about this, but I'm more curious about how Riot's algorithm decides things in ARAM vs draft. Is it the same as in regular queue? I mean, I find that hard to believe, because I've seen several people get S- 's on champions like Sivir and their stats looked incredibly different from what you'd see in draft pick.

I mean, it's kind of BS that Riot can reward people for "performing well" when we have little to no idea what exactly that means. And, while we know a lot about how it works on standard Summoner's Rift games, I can't find anything on how it works in ARAMs.

Seriously, Riot should make it a lot more clear if they're going to reward you with hextech chests that contains the means to get free things that cost actual money.

Well judging from what you said, "Game ends before enemy team can put in a normal surrender vote." Sounds like the game was not long enough for S material. You can go flawless in ARAM but if you curbstomp the other team in 10 minutes and already at their nexus not really much of long game.

But I could be completely wrong but usually time is a big factor for ARAM games (that ive noticed).

Ya, ARAM grades get really off. I have gotten S on a champ when I really think I didn't do well. Then I do even better on the same champ and get A.
