Agreed full-heartedly, emphasis on the "Just starting out on Ranked" You'd think this would be common sense, but it isn't. I just wish people that sucked were kicked out of ranked play until the start of the next season. If you suck, you should get a message that says, "Riot recommends you learn more about the game and how to play before you play League of Legends competitively."
There will always be those people with no idea what the hell they are doing, only way to avoid that is to start a ranked team. Solo Queue is Solo Queue because its EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF. It doesn't help when these people watch streams and believe they are pros because of it and try to go in and out like they are HotShotGG.
If you want to blame anyone for failing so hard in ranked, blame the Master-rank/high elo streamers and people who watch them. People take every word they say and follow it like the damn bible. Check this story out
I have a friend that was failing hard in ranked play, and he watches streamers quite often. He has me coach him from time to time, and I've been able to coach him from a Silver player to a Platinum player over the passed few months. I will never forget the first game he played though. He enters the queue, he is blue team so his team got first pick and he was last pick on his team. The captain of his team bans Pantheon, Nasus, and Vladimir. He banned a bunch of top champs, so I assumed he'd go top, my friends favored position. The guy ends up picking Olaf, and the other team picks Malphite and Sejuani. Then his team picks Zed mid and Graves ADC. Their team has no magic damage whatsoever on their team and the only 2 picks left are jungle and support.
This is where it gets funny. Due to his team's line up of Olaf, Zed, and Graves (No initiation, all attack damage. Easy to counter) he should roll an Tanky jungler with strong initiation/magic damage such as Diana, or Warwick (even without building AP, his magic damage is ridiculous. Devourer or Wits End mesh very well with his ult and his Q does % based magic damage based on max health). He says "Nah man, this Master ranked streamer said team comp doesn't matter in solo queue. As long as we win our lanes, we win the game." and says he wants to pick Tryndamere jungle. I then told him, "Unless your Zed wrecks mid lane and snowballs, there is no way you will win. Your team has very weak initiation and they a Malphite on their team.. who is not only very powerful against AD champions but also has an ability which reduces your attack speed... Tryndamere and Olaf scale off of attack speed. They also only have to invest in armor because you are all AD." He picks Tryndamere jungle, everyone on the enemy team builds Thornmail, and their team proceeds to get rolled hardcore. GG.
Moral of the story is, if you aren't a pro, you are just starting out, or are in Bronze-Gold elo, don't listen to the streamers because their advice doesn't apply to you. In high-rank/pro level play, people should know what they are doing. Chances are, the people you are with don't. Chances are you won't have a tank to peel for you. Chances are your support will KS you because they play too much Call of Duty and think KD is everything. Chances are your teammates won't ward the map. That is why there are suggested champions that you play for you to climb the ladder, these aren't the best champions on the game but instead are champions that snowball very well and have higher carry potential if you are good player. Understand every role in the game. Understand where your champions thrive. Are you strong early-mid game like Xin Zhao/Pantheon/Lee Sin/Zed/Talon? Capitalize on that. Play aggressively. Are you weak early but strong late? Don't try turret diving and whatnot, focus on farming/objectives to the best of your ability until you have your items.
