Can we Talk About "GGEZ" For a Second?
So, I hope I'm not alone in this... but this is the most goddamned frustrating and infuriating thing I think anyone can do during a game in league of legends. It is 100x worse than flashing your mastery, or just generally trash talking, because at least then, there's some kind of warning, and you can mute them at your leisure.
But, someone can be completely silent until the end of the game, and then comes the dreaded message in all chat:
GGEZ
Why? I think this should be a reportable offense. Trash talking, I think is not reportable, because that's part of the game. It serves a purpose. Putting your opponent on tilt is not the same as being toxic. However, when the game is over, there is no point in putting an opponent on tilt, other than being an asshole. Unless you're playing at a time where there are barely any people on the server, it is highly unlikely that you will have another game with any of the enemy team's players, especially considering that they just lost mmr, and you just gained mmr. So, there is literally no point to this stupid phrase.
I'm dead serious on this - I have had to stop playing because this phrase got me so pissed off. Otherwise, if these people would have said only "gg" or nothing at all, I would have probably been fine to play another match. It's annoying to lose. It's even more annoying (bordering on frustrating) when your team feeds, and ultimately makes you look like you don't know how to play, but on top of that, when someone throws this shit into the mix, not only does it compound that frustration of losing, how unfair it feels that you lost because it wasn't necessarily your fault, and also a taunt from the enemy team
Combine that with how I feel about the phrase in general, and you have a sure-fire 4-letter tilt-generator.
And, before you start typing in the comments "Well, maybe you're actually bad and you should have carried," remember that no one thinks like that. Not to mention, it's incredibly unclear whose fault it is that you lose a game. You could have a game where no one fed, but you still got hard stomped in 20 minutes because the jungler just didn't do anything other than farm, or the person who went top never grouped for teamfights and never managed to get anywhere split pushing. There are about half a million things that someone could do that could cost the entire team the game that aren't immediately obvious.
