It's simple, the champions themselves aren't the issue. Their design isn't the problem, the problem was that stealth itself is the issue. If you take a look at all the long stealth champions in the game what is the common trend between them?

If you haven't guessed it, it's because they're problematic. Each one of these champions are a significant ISSUE when stronger than intended. This isn't stealth's fault, rather Riot's IMPLEMENTATION of stealth. Riot needs to do a full stealth overhaul and give meaningful counter-play to it at any given point in the game. Unless you completely change the identity of these champs (which they won't do) they're doomed to fail with individual reworks.

the purpose of stealth is to position yourself correctly and go in when the time is right, twitch can barely do that, rengar does that very sparingly, eve is probably the best at this, and shaco hardly benefits from the stealth, its his Q CD and gap closer that do all the work.

my concern with stealth is that the champions themselves dont actually benefit from the stealth, people still hit you, they predict where you're going, and its very telegraphed. rather they benefit from the new found position that they're in for an initiation. making stealth very offensive in that regard.

my concern with stealth is that the champions themselves dont actually benefit from the stealth, people still hit you, they predict where you're going, and its very telegraphed. rather they benefit from the new found position that they're in for an initiation. making stealth very offensive in that regard.

The only stalking stealth in the game is Evelynn's because hers is permanent. The others simply use it for juking/escaping and to position right on top of their targets without detection.

And how in the world is it telegraphed?

"twitch missing" "shaco missing" etc etc. you just ask "what are they planning" and its always, dive you, or start a fight.... so you back up to counteract their stealth.

or, im on a wall, shaco just Q'd at 10% health, i wonder where he went. granted shaco has the most juke potential, but in the ends its still primarily used for the distance to get out of the enemies sight range altogether.

id rather see someone benefit from it in a team fight, like a bruiser who hits you, goes invis, and shows up a half second later attacking again. periods of on off, such that its difficult to focus him in a team fight.

right now stealth is primarily used to get behind someone and 2v1 them, or in rengars case just pop a carry, its too simple and just not fun, you cant prepare for it or manage that, it just happens. the only thing that could save you are pink wards.

or how about someone who deals lots of damage from their first hit from stealth, but is primarily weak when not stealthed. and has their stealth ability on a relatively short CD, like Q ability. it would promote longer fight engagements and be pretty awesome to see someone get in and out, this is similar to what shaco does but he cant do it right away as his Q is his stealth.

We have Khazix for that.

Long stealth champions should not be able to restealth during combat, and they're not gonna change the feel for the champions to do it either.

then the sole purpose of stealth becomes position correctly for initiation. and not an interesting or cool mechanic.

what you do with stealth, is super limited right now.
