Why do people suggest evolving other abilities over Q on Kha'Zix?

I've been evolving Q for quite some time now and have had effective results every time I did so. It allowed me to invade better, win duels with the jungler, kill an enemy running away after overextending their lane. When I didn't evolve it first I lose so many 1v1s early game because I didn't have the better base damage and scaling that comes with Q. Yet when I evolve Q I'm told I'm bad and that evolving E is better. Which I ALWAYS evolve second. When I do so a huge power spike comes in when I can get my resets in skirmishes often resulting in triple kills because of my fed early game after evolving Q.

His e is usually evolved first for the reset, and his r is evolved next for the extra stealth time. Personally I never saw the use in evolving his spikes.

I've never seen a kha evolve R, because honestly his w and q are better

I probably don't have enough games to judge this correctly, but I'll say damage on Kha'Zix is much better than having EXTRA early game utility. He already has two slows and a gap closer. The reset on the E early game feels pretty pointless when there's nothing to make use of it unless you gank botlane. Spikes have loss all points to them with the new smite being able to sap movespeed and the trinket upgrades granting the extra vision.
