A PSA to all laners
If your lane opponent leaves, and you don't ping MIA, you have NO JUSTIFICATION to complain about whoever they gank being behind. You didn't ping, you didn't follow, and you are the reason they fell behind.

Well, while these pings help bad players out a very tiny bit it isn't the fault of the person who didn't ping. It is the fault of the person who dies because they didn't look at their map.
If you only look at the maps for pings, your map awareness is terrible. This behavior doesn't change usually when people ping, the amp still isn't checked by these players with no awareness even if you ping them to fall back. Some of them even still complain that you didn't ping even when every person on your entire team pinged them.
If instead you have good map awareness, then players pings are completely insignificant as you will always know before they ping whether or not an enemy is missing.
I don't condone complaining of any kind, however pretending as if a player's teammates are responsible for that player's map awareness is incorrect.
As an added note, players don't really have a right to complain about anything. That is useless drivel which doesn't help anyone win any games. It doesn't matter if this is for lack of pings, lack of map awareness, poor play, missed ults. Anything. Complaints do not help anyone in game.
So if I see someone gone I should assume they're coming all the time? Not that they backed? Why not ping? Easiest thing to do in the game.
Yes, you should assume all missing enemies are coming all the time.
When you ping missing you don't skip it just because they backed, they can easily back and go straight to another lane. Anytime you don't know where all the enemies are you need to play safely.
Well it's gonna be fun running under tower and losing farm every time someone backs.
You don't have to take it to the extreme however if you do then you won't likely die unless say 3 come mid and you still sit under tower where they can dive you or something.
You can pay attention to where they are missing from (top/bottom) and get vision on that side so that they are no longer missing when they are close enough for you to react.
I can't get vision early on if I already placed a ward. And holding it too long is a bad choice if they have an early ganker like

I am not sure how early game is really the focus here but I play mid and have no issue having vision nat all important times.
Early vision should help you prevent a gank, not leave you vulnerable to one. That just sounds like you are overextending with no vision. There is a small window of visionless time early game however that also happens to be a time where laners don't usually leave lane. And if the do just back up, or freeze your lane close to tower. THey will miss CS and XP for roaming early and you will not miss much cs and should miss 0 XP. Then your laner who got roamed from gets an easy early level advantage
Early as in 3-4 minutes in. And usually I have no problem, but some games it happens.

I think my favorite instance of this was where I was amumu at level 6 fighting lvl 6 aatrox literally right behind the midlane brush in dragonside river, for like 30 seconds (it was a pretty long slapfest fight), and my no awareness midlaner was right on the other side of the brush w/ the enemy midlaner mia and did not come help.
Lol and then he said "you should've pinged" Smh.
Yeah, in my elo at least 90% of players do not pay attention to pings. It is quite tiresome.
Wards?
I can't ward 2 sides of the mid lane 7 minutes in
You get 2 wards and can buy a control ward, plus the jungler can also help you ward.
If I hold the ward until a 2nd one comes up I'm warding neither side for 3 minutes.
You can still buy a control ward and ask your jungler to ward around your lane or in their jungle.
You talk as if people below diamond would think to help via wards :^)
I'm pretty sure people do if you ask them. They do in my games at least
Ya no shit. If people are actually complaining about that, just ignore them. They're clearly retarded and not worth talking to.
When my opponent recalls I don't ping MIA. I shouldn't have to. When they run straight for another lane, that's a good play on their part. The enemy jungle could have done the same. Maybe they did it together? I still don't see how that's my problem. No one pings when their opponent recalls.
It only seems to work when the guy you're ganking chases too far. I lost a game because my mid lane opponent Lux went straight for top lane after recalling. I watched her recall and I had pressured the tower a lot. Top went for a gank as she recalled - waiting in a bush for about 20 seconds for the enemy top wave to push enough then chased through the enemy top tri-brush. Needless to say Lux hit Q-E-R through the brush and got a double kill (then proceeded to get fed on everyone but me...).
The response was "where's the MIA on Lux?". I'm sorry - that's not on me. Why are you blindly chasing someone that way? Clearly your top brush was warded and you got baited. Use a control ward next time or something.
Now, I didn't complain that they fed here - my lane opponent = my responsibility. Doesn't mean it isn't their fault too.
Not a recall, when they simply walk away from lane.
