I just played a game with 5 tanks and the demolish rune

We had:

Top - Yorick Jungle - Chogath Mid - Nasus ADC - Garen Support - Galio

Basically my friends and I decided it would be funny to play all tanks with lane push power. (Hence why we all had the demolish rune).

We also all had TP and we banned 5 adcs because we thought they would make or break our comp.

Little did we think this would actually work, but not only did we win, we steam rolled the game. At around 15 minutes, we were preparing to take their base. Bot wave was pushed to the inhib turret, everyone tp’ed, we spawned rift and WE TOOK THEIR BASE IN UNDER 30 SECONDS. This only happend because all 5 of us easily proc’d demolish one after another and we were tanky enough to tank turrets.

What can we learn from this?

  • Tanks do absurd damage, this has already been said, but its ridiculous.
  • The demolish rune is extremely powerful

My thoughts would be to adjust the demolish rune to be weaker early maybe? Have it scale up.

The only champion you listed that’s arguably a tank is Cho, and I consider him more of a juggernaut (Galio was turned into a bruiser).

That being said, I do feel that demolish needs some changes. Like scaling it off of bonus health instead of total health. Weakens it early.

They're tanks.

If you have over 150 of any resist and over 3k HP you're a tank.

A tank is more than stats.

Darius isn’t a tank despite the similar stats to someone like Sion or Poppy.

Does he have a lot of resistance(s) and a large HP pool? Then he's a tank.

No. That’s like saying an assassin is someone who has a lot of damage built.

That’s not how it works.

No, because an assassin is its own class due to how it functions.

Sure, "juggernauts" can be seen as fighter-based tanks, however they're still tanks since they're soaking up damage nonetheless. The whole point of anyone being an assassin if they have damage built is irrelevant.

Juggernauts are simply a subclass for tanks. However, in the case of Cho'gath he is NOT a juggernaut, he is a tank, except for the fact that for some reason he's allowed to have assassin levels of burst.

Juggernauts are not a subclass of tanks. Damage soaking is not the primary focus of a tank in league, it’s just a requirement for their job as disrupters just as it helps juggernauts survive longer to build up their damage.

League isn’t a PVE game where you can juggle aggro from mobs. It’s a PVP game where you need to make other players focus you or find a way to use your bulk to help your team. Even in Overwatch Tanks back a savage punch with Reinhardt’s charge one shotting squishy heroes. And he’s the most true tank in that game.

Here's a link to the wiki page on champion class. You should read up on it, because you don't seem to know the difference between a Juggernaut and a Tank.

Bro, I play WoW, OW, SC and UMvC3. I know what a tank is. A tank soaks damage.

Tanks are not the only damage sponges in this game. If you want to oversimplify things be my guest, just don't be surprised when your definition ends up not fitting things.

Haha the other day on my smurf account I was vs enemy team that had Taric ,Leona bot , both used aftershock and double relic start vs my Lucian Alistar . Our bot actually got annihilated, and we lost that game. Not even mad for loosing that one though, it's actually hilarious that people can pull off , random strategies like that and succeed. Can't wait for no adc team comps to finnaly become a thing.

Three of your "tanks" are Juggernauts (tanky fighters), Cho is a specialist with tank qualities, and only Galio is the true tank...more or less.

i'm really surprised that actually worked

i see an awful lack of engage power in the comp

only galio is a tank.

yorick, garen, nasus are fighters.

cho is bullshit. i guess he could qualify as a tank, if they didnt also make him a juggernaut at the same time.

either way, two of those 3 fighters on your list are known to specialize in split pushing and destroying turrets. and garen can actually wreck turrets when he builds triforce aswell.
