i was thinking about it .. and i wonder why people dont play alistar top? he has enough abilities to 1v1 (specially with his ult) he can go full tank... and give some gangs

I used to play alistar top a lot until his mini rework. Removed the ad from his ult and his damage is trash now.

The good old, "Emperor Cowcatine" Build. I remember the witch hunt that ensued.

It's interesting, because what makes Alistar such a great support, is that the defensive steroid from his ultimate does not hinge on scaling defensive stats. Making it a good option for the item poor support.

But if you combined that with Solo lane gold, and offensive itemization. He all of a sudden has the inverse problem of the current tank meta. (Building lots of damage while still being tanky) In addition to trashing his ult, they also fixed his knock back so he couldn't land an AA while doing it. (Which is how he abused Trinity force)

dude, if you want to do it, then do it. i've played teemo support about 8 times already and i may have lost 7 games with it (not ranked,btw) it's mainly because of my team feeding. he does really well of controlling vision and poking them down. i usually just buy item 3303 then item 2049 then upgrade to item 3098 and maybe item 2045 if we need it. then get either item 3111 or item 3047 depending on the game then 2 AP items ( i love to get item 3151 and item 3116 because of the damage, penetration and slow, plus on hit damage) or warmogs if you dont have a tank. so yeah, off meta is fun ^^

It's ok in some matchups. Ali has almost no waveclear, so you need to rush roa or sunfire. The thing is, his ult provides damage reduction, so you get the most "value" if you buy flat health like face of the mountain and ruby sightstone. If you have resistances and are tanky without your ult, you don't have much of an ult. So he's a bad splitpusher without ap and if you buy ap, you're really not better than a support tank. It's not that he can't, it's that everyone else is better.
