Why do adc's have an item that lets them bypass minions but tanks don't?

Tanks are like the one class that actually NEED an item to help them reach the backline. ADC's don't even need an item that does this really, because they don't have to get through the creeps to do damage. Also, most tanks don't have a dash/ms ability in their kits. Creep block is literally the worst it's ever been this season, so we absolutely NEED an item that gives this.

Tanks aren't designed to reach the backline. They are designed to be stopped by the frontline.

WTF are you talking about? Almost all tanks are melee champions. Of course they're supposed to reach the backline.

I don't understand your logic.

And I don't understand yours. Tanks are supposed to reach the backline. They're not supposed to just sit there and die.

Why are they supposed to reach the back line? What's the purpose of that? I.e. What are they tanking?

No, you got it all wrong. They're supposed to cc the backline, and then after they blow their cc then they start tanking for the team.

They are supposed to cause chaos in the frontline so the backline is easier to reach.

You're misunderstanding. A tank aren't supposed to reach the backline because they themselves are the frontline, a defensive force used to cause chaos among the enemy frontline so that other, more mobile folk actually can reach the backline.

Tanks are fat, while adcs are small and twinkish.

Also because bodyblocking would be awkward if you had no unit collision.
