If you read guides and still do not improve...

Clickbait title, topic is about using champs to train. If a guide does not have a noticable impact on you improving then you might be like me. I don't get better from reading guides or watching vids, at best I learn how to use a specific nifty lil combo (Azir curve for example) To improve I got to play and get things down to muscle memory. So... why did I make this post, the point brah get to it?

Aight, this post here is about various game mechanics and improving yourself. For me when I got better it was because I learned them from champs. Some champions require basic mechanics to be more pronounced to be played well. My logic at the time was if a champ requires a mechanic and i focus on them and that aspect and just stuck with it until my scores became consistently solid I would become better at the game overall. Now this was around season 2 and 3 when I started so some champs are a bit dated, potentially there are better options now.

Map awareness TwistedFate Playing him over and over and over made me become better at keeping eye on minimap, knowing when its safe to move camera off my champ to see whats going on in other lanes, as well as increase the speed I move camera at. Not using an ulti feels bad to me so playing TF over and over and over until I started.

Reacting to allies and enemy plays. Janna She's got a great kit for disengage. Playing her helped me get better at looking for tells and improve how I reacted to others in the game. Using Quick Q casts to peel champs or stop movement ability's, Clutch shields, Ulting at the right moment, not blowing her MS boost to slow when its not needed. I still miss when R slowed enemy's who reentered it.

Kiteing, orbwalking. (and at the time, toggles and CSing.) Ashe Her kit has changed a lot, but I feel she does rely on using her slow and movement in-between autos enough to be a valid training champ still.

Grabbing opportunity's. Katarina Fiddlesticks Waiting for the right moment to go in and go hard. Getting down the windows you have to make a play reduces the number of 1 for 1 kill trades and flops when ya overcommit.

Just a few examples, Like is said its been some time so a lot of what I had done is outdated but I am curious if any one else has champs they play or played to improve mechanics and would encourage yall to share them. Also worth a mention, I'm a bit jealous that folks can use AI and Training tools now, when I wanted to get better I had to deal with all the verbal feedback from teammates every time I screwed up. As a side effect kind of woke me up to the fact I was consistently a jerk to folks who did bad and the frustration I got from being on other end of it made me become a less toxic and more team focused player.

Leo does teach engages well and also how to use CC to peel. I gotta remember her more often when I'm helping hommies.
