I'm really not satisfied with any reworked champion

I think that the only good rework riot has ever done is the rework of the rework of cassiopia and still I like the original cassiopia better. I mained malz and now he sucks and before that I mained shen and although I still play him occasionally he sucks in comparison to what he was. Yorick rework is disgusting although he was disgusting before and he had to be nerfed to oblivion because he was too op. I seriously think that riot reworks champions because they are trying to feel like they did something. I don't think riot employees even play their own game.

That's your opinion. The major reworks have been resounding successes in terms of modernizing and making the champs more engaging and fun.

They do it to draw in players. It makes people buy champions. The new yorick looks cool and catchy but in all reality the old yorick was much much better in terms of playstyle

Old Yorick was absolutely horrible. He clicked and ghouls appeared. That was it. It was overly oppressive if he was allowed to have power and utterly garbage otherwise. Compared to other champions released in the year he came out (2011) he may as well have been from the beta version with the shitty as hell kit he used to have. Here's all the champs that came out in 2011: Ahri Brand Caitlyn Fizz Graves Jarvan IV Karma Lee Sin Leona Maokai Nocturne Orianna Renekton Rumble Shyvana Skarner Viktor Volibear Wukong Xerath Yorick

None, I repeat, NONE of those champions were as lazily created or designed as Yorick and nearly every one of them has held up pretty well over the years with only minor tweaking. You cannot possibly compare old Yorick to any of them because he just feels terrible. I honestly thought he was much older than this, so you can imagine how surprising it is to find out he was released in the same year as champs like Ahri, Wukong, and Leona. You can't possibly think old Yorick was good for anything, especially since he became an invalid once laning ended. Even his designers said he was a lazy design due to the need to meet a deadline.

Old yorick was a late game Juggernaut. Deaths dance icebourn gauntlet manamune spirit visage and black cleaver. He was the only champion In the game that could duel a fed nasus and win. He was toxic to lane against but when he was nerfed ot wasn't that overbearing as his ghouls where the only thing that could get to you. typically nobody walked right up to yorick or they would be fucked. Darius and illaoi exists in the game of you want to talk about toxic champions. His kit was a mess and lazy I agree but his new kit missed the mark by miles. For starters he can only raise more than 3 ghouls at a time which is totally not yorick. Yorick isn't army raiser but apparently he is now. His e says it does 15% of the Enemy's max health and it does like 2%. Idk wtf is wrong with the tool tip on that one but it's wrong. Also you have to land that or the ghouls do nothing. The ghouls die almost instantly and they never get to accomplish anything. His ult is good but why it lasts infinity I don't know but it's stupid. And last his wall should be a wall of they are going to make a wall where no one can get in or out for a couple seconds. Teammates and all. Look at the animation of walking though it it's rediculous

So a champion having to require higher brain functions after being reworked is bad?

Darius can easily be beaten by ranged top laners. And well, ranged champions in general. As for Illaoi.....she had to be buffed and sort of reworked to even be viable again. They are far from toxic.

The old Yorick had what Riot calls "Toxic playstyle". A, maybe not broken, but very very annoying kit to play against. Even if you won th game in the end, it never felt like a win cause of the insanely annoying laning face you had to endure.

The old Yorick was cancer garbage that was kept in the trash because his kit was impossible to balance actually.

and the new one didnt fix that problem at all. All the rework did was give yorick moments of weakness. I know what yorick was, he was my 2nd main before he was reworked.

It isn't about the experience of playing old yorick more than it is about the experience of playing against him. Old Yorick was a fucking mess of toxic kit design. He had essentially limitless sustain once he got to tear of the goddess, which is cheap as hell to buy. His main harass tool was single target, so no getting away from that, and the ghouls themselves were such a shit design it's not even funny, with outright broken hitboxes that made clicking them to attack them feel outright impossible to do well.

Yorick was a disgusting mess of design, both on the rift and under the hood, and this rework has only done good things for him so far.

Riot does, but I bet a lot of them play it with a more analytical thought process and the logic that the game isn't balanced around their skill level or playstyle.

If you balanced it around low skill level, then things would be much easier subjects of abuse for higher level players.

It only makes sense to balance around the most optimal skill level.

players with skill that high find weaknesses in every champion and exploit it. you could make a super op champion and as long as it has a weakness you can kill them so i dont think that balence works like that.

same goes for cass sortof... she will need more work but she appears to be a test subject for future mechanics

btw I might get the new yorick.. the only thing wrong with the new yorick is that the average player isn't really too bright and will waste your kit's utility alot

So sion, poppy, taric, and karma were better before their reworks? I doubt it.

The only really bad reworks were mord and maybe ryze 2.0.
