Why is secondary role even required when your primary is support

I don't think anybody is gaining anything by a support main having to mid

It's mostly to force equality. Support gets its role about 90% of the time, however, every other role only gets theirs 60% of the time or so. If you got your role every time, you'd have an advantage.

Its actually needed so that you get put into games faster. Sure you are most likely going to grabbed from the support Q but its still possible to get grabbed from your other.

I'd rather get my preferred role 100% of the time and wait longer for queues than to have a 90% change and get quicker queues.

This would ruin Q times if you can wait for one role

It can, but you are not the only one in the Q as support.
