Also because it is an analogy that is easier to get. At the same time, people keep trying to misjduge chat restricted people.

it's like how you treat Post-war veterans with PTSD. You can't understand them. When their life gets flipped upside down because of PTSD don't try to go up to them, pretend you know how they feel, and then say, "stop trying to pretend to be the victim, you deserve to be homeless"

Tbh, that analogy is wrong. A more correct analogy would be: You go the the jail full of convicted killers and you shoot them when they are sitting ducks behind bars. I make this analogy, because the crime you commit of bullying chat restricts is as severe as the reason why the person got chat restricted in the first place. And, as they are chat restricted, they can't defend themselves either. Be the bigger man and not lower yoruself to their standards is what I believe in, give the example sort of thing...

You can't control PTSD it is something that happens to you that traumatizes you for life (explosions, gun fire, death etc.)

You can control what you say in a videogame, don't pull a loose analogy that can't even compare to the situation.

From this thread alone. And I only "picked a fight" with you because of the ludicrous insensitivity of trying to compare the plight of the chat restricted to someone who survived a post-traumatic stress. I was astounded by the gall of that and had doubts that you could possibly be serious. And through all of my interactions I've been more playful than angry.

It doesn't matter though - all I'm saying is if the way you to react to people on the forums is similar to how you do in game, I wouldnt be surprised if you had a chat restriction. You can either reflect on that and change your attitude or you can dismiss me as a "troll" or whatever and keep on keeping on. It makes no difference to me, just offering you a chance for some self-reflection my man.

That is a very naive perspective.

There's a kernel of value there - the question: "Is there a point where a human can forfeit the rights bundled with their humanity?" and I happen to agree that there is. But that point is not "acts like an idiot on the internet." And I'd posit that wishing death on people who sometimes act like idiots on the internet is a larger violation of the social contract than getting chat restricted is.

The punishment must fit the crime.
