Get rid of +50% bonus crit damage (aka rework IE)

Malak··2 votes·424 views

This is basically a rabadon's deathcap effect for crit. Yet unlike rabadons this item can be built early and it makes all crit items way too good. Not to mention the RNG factors involved where the opponent has a 20% chance to almost insta kill you with 250% damage earlier in the game.

Due to runes giving adcs stats in attack speed and lifesteal, they can get this item way too early.

"rework IE"

No IE changes. Just want it removed more or less

P.S. crit in this game actually isn't random. Look up how it works because I'm not explaining it again.

I dont have an answer for how IE should be. That doesn't mean I'm asking to get it removed. Nothing is random with computers, but to humans playing the game not keeping track of invisible numbers, it IS random.

Also, critical strike in the game makes it so you cannot have unlucky streaks, but I never read anything about stopping lucky streaks. Why doesn't critical strike chance get cut in half if you get two crits in a row when you only have a 40% chance?

(some context: critical strike chance is doubled upon failing to get a crit)

I don't mean that the computer isn't technically random, I mean crit ACTUALLY isn't random. Each time you attack, whether you crit or not actually affects your crit chance of the next attack. Even if you have 50% crit chance, your next attack could actually have more or less than that. Go look it up. I'm not explaining it again

And yes, just asking for the extra crit damage to be removed is pretty much asking for it to be removed from the game. It would be an absolutely dogshit awful item

I would have said more closer to Nassor's Tooth's passive than Deathcap's but whatever. My point is, how is this a bad thing?

You can easily build RDC second item and rarely first. IE you basically do the same except for on certain champions because more often you get just B.F. Sword then finish an attack speed/crit item like Shiv or RH. IE is only 200 gold cheaper too.

You mean just like how RDC makes all AP items better? Put it this way, RDC always makes AP better, but IE only sometimes makes crit items better because not every attack will crit (unless at 100% crit or because of an ability/passive). Not to mention that "crit items" include 4 items which give 0 AD base stats (the Zeal items). In other words, IE is mainly your only damage item until you get your 4th item.

Also... no.

20% crit means at least 1 of 5 AA should crit. Sometimes more sometimes less. That is how RNG works. Plus while the damage increase is notable, never will it almost insta-kill someone unless additional influences are added (like Jhin's 4th shot passive).

No mage ever gets RDC first, second, or even third item in most cases, and with 20% crit and how crit works you are guaranteed at least 1 crit out of 5. But you could easily get 3 crits as well. RNG is huge, and it makes sure it always benefits the adc not the target. Checkout how crit works: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Critical_strike

And yea 250% damage can feel insta kill when a 200 damage auto turns into a 500 damage execute

You can build rabdons early for the highest piece of individual AP
