Finally reached my goal of achieving the rank of gold. This is after two seasons (years) of half my friends list and friends I played with achieving gold while I was stuck in silver 2-3. Finally something clicked and I improved enough to reach gold (sadly in preseason so still silver border and no skin). Now in season 6 I have finally reached gold (even early in the season!) and qualify for season rewards and all my friends either quit or are stick in silver 3 or 4 since the release of dynamic queue and no longer care about ranked or the game and have basically quit as well :((.

Tl, DR. Finally reached goal rank where a bunch of my friends were but all either quit or have quit playing ranked and they will only assume I got carried or call my achievement meaningless since dynamic queue. Feels bad man.

I love this game I fucking love it, its fun its competitive. But ever since Dynamic Queue its a stomp on one side or stomp on the other to check who got the bronzes on their team and who got the platinums. Its still somewhat fun but its random now I still win most games but its so random its not the same passion as before

Yea it is different. I haven't noticed as much difference as a lot of threads point out but I can just tell my friends and others care less about ranked now, which translates into me caring less now :(. I still love this game and still have fun, just not as much as before.
