There is something which really really bugs me about cc counterplay

Meanwhile there are alot of AD champions with cc

This is really annoying

for example you are facing a Riven with instant ''spammable'' stun what will you do buy magic resist against her????

if you are not a tank and are likely only going to buy 1 defensive item do you want it to be magic resist if the enemy has mostly PHYSICAL DAMAGE??!!

Not to mention that alot of these AD champions also have acces to uncounterable cc like knockups and knockbacks

What would I be doing buying a CC removal item against riven? She only has a .75 second stun. By the time I would even react to it I would probably only be removing half a second of CC at best.

riven was just an example

since you cannot cleanse a knockup and the other one is a stun it would only be effective vs half her cc at best but buying merc threads just feels silly against her

It only reduces the cc but the damage will still rape you but buying it vs viktor will make you get stunned for less and you take less damage

my point was its mostly only really effective vs AP championswhilst ad champions get to go full ham with thier cc and damage whilst having the option to reduce both your damage and cc if your an ap champ

an armor or otherwise anti ad item which gives tenacity or maybe a knockup/knockback reduction would be a nice thing to have
