This item is 100% useless and is a noob trap. Riot also recommends it on tank junglers such as chogath for no reason at all. Whenever i see our jax jungle buy it then check the harvest gold, it reads 0. I tell him to switch it, he starts flaming because it is recommended and riot knows better than me. Please remove this item or significantly buff it. Until it is buffed/removed at least take it out of all recommended jungle builds.
DeloricVI3 votesYeah, I recommend dropping it from the recommended items only. New players don't need to be getting this item. Pretty much, only players that are experienced and don't need Riot's build advice should be getting this... if you're at the level where people start jungling, but only just there, then most junglers who aren't smurfs at your level should not have the jungling skill to counter-jungle using poacher's knife. I don't even jungle with poacher's knife. I don't even really know of any pros that use it off the top of my head... I don't watch lcs, but I do see a lot of diamond/challenger videos, and no one really uses it... but it's there for a good reason.
We probably don't want to buff it... that would only encourage 
and we know he's already about as annoying as Teemo. That is to say, he's pretty much already annoying as sin.
Colgate Gator2 votesIf anything, remove it from Champions' recommended items when they bring smite, playing in a low level account I see many many junglers who have no idea what they're doing and they follow the recommendation.

Scrimshäw1 votesYou need to be able to smite champions or something. Counter jungling isn't as debilitating as it used to be. I went Nunu one game, rushed a poacher's blade, and the enemy Sion jungle was still able to be helpful. I had it at 1400 gold by 20-30ish minutes.
