Baron, Towers, and Associated Thoughts

Can both of these things get significant buffs? With so much more gold in the game + squishier towers, inhibs are regularly falling at 18-19 minutes (a fairly impressive feat before 5.22) and Baron is being routinely picked up as if it were Dragon at 22-25 minutes (what would previously be considered a ballsy FNATIC-style Baron).

Both Baron and Inhibitors create massive rhythmic swings within the game and should both be treated like massive objectives, not something to routinely scoop up if you have a bit of a gold lead. The neutral objective monsters (Baron, Dragon, and Harold the Rift Herald) are all total pushovers. Dragon can be solo'd by almost anyone. Herald is the easiest two-man neutral objective in the world. Baron is routinely getting 3-man face-melted before 30 minutes by the winning team if they have decent champs for it.

I'd like to see Baron entail some actual risk. I'd like to see Inhibitors require significant commitment. Hell, I think it's super dumb that you can lose your outer tower off literally one failed skirmish if the enemy has a decent minion wave and any two champions willing to slap the tower. As cool as it is to mow down 3 mid towers in a row in the wake of post-teamfight glory, I think it's a touch too snowbally for long-term enjoyment.

After playing the preseason patch for a while, I don't think it's actually all that bad. The two biggest issues are what I'm discussing here: neutral objective creeps are excessively wimpy, and the base is way too easy to crack.

neutral objectives were strong at some point? i thought they were meant to be 5 year olds you go to and bully them for their lunch money whenever you got the chance

I think at one point a long, long time ago (over 3 years ago), Baron was really fuckin' scary to try taking. Dragon has always been a nice guy that handed over his wallet as soon as you looked at him.

Right now if someone underperforms its game over in 75% of the games, and im talking about someone giving up firstblood then getting ganked killed and have his tower taken. Thats pretty much all you need to win these days. If this happens to someone he will get flak from the rest of his team even if it was just a good play from the opponent and he/she couldn't do anything

This also further enforces the meta as it is what people know and makes things overal easier to understand for alot of players. No more room for creativity and odd strategies.

I think this game should be more teamdependant wether its winning or losing. Im totally fine with champions snowballing in terms of power, because that is not the issue. The issue is thta one snowballing champion snowballs the entire map into that teams favor these days.

Imho objectives should be tougher to take. This will increase the importance of working together. Riot was on the right track with different attributes for towers so no one strategy ruled supreme in the towergame. The same with dragon by making it hit harder on the team who has taken it before.

Making neutral objectives more difficult to take the more you have of them like dragon means in order to get 5 you need to consistently stay ahead and work with your team to get more of them.

For towers i suggested elsewhere in these boards to make them ´´upgradable´´ where players could reinforce them with turret specific items, adding another layer of strategy.
