Why does almost every game in Platinum consist of previously Gold players in a 3-man premade?

Soloist plat Vs OTPs are probably weaker than a lot of gold players attempting to run a combo, but yeah you're kind of right.

Honestly, Dynamic Queue is more of a success than a failure. It is the underlying structure that has assumptions that continue to disrupt fair gameplay. This includes adjusted rating to premades. Its like Riot wanted to sell dynamic queue so hard it forgot to think about the most easily avoidable consequences.
