AP ratio increase revert + Damage reduction to targets other than the first = Solo lane Lulu dead?

Lulu's Q had her AP ratio increased to 0.7 instead of 0.5, but it was changed so that it would deal 30% less damage to targets beyond the first, so that it would not buff her waveclear.

However, the AP ratio increase was reverted. But the damage reduction to targets was not nerfed. This means her waveclear has been gutted, probably. Does that mean solo lane Lulu is dead? Is Riot going to revert the damage reduction to targets beyond the first?

Unlikely.

Chances are solo lane lulu is indeed dead and support lulu is now janna version B.

not necessarily. we'll have to wait to see how it plays out. right now lulu has godly wave clear and i doubt 30% reduction will change that. she still will probably clear a wave with two Qs and the attack speed buff on the whimsy or shield or whatever its on is going to be massive

I don't think the AS buff is "massive" at all. It lasts for 4 seconds at max rank... possibly only enough for 1 extra auto attack per cast and you have to trade polymorph for it.

The math for this is BuffPower * Duration * BaseAS = Number of Extra Attacks Gained. For an average champion (0.625 base AS), this means 0.875 bonus attacks. It means it has substantially lower value on a champion like Caitlyn who has a very low base AS. It means W adds does add a few hundred damage with optimal DPS uptime.

I guess it can add quite a bit if you spam it, but it's risky.

rofl, do you realize how long 4 seconds is? that is a standard attack speed steroid. miss fortune's for contrast is a 3 second steroid and its a part of her kit and is literally the only offensive thing it does for her.

it's not risky. polymorph isn't really used on mid lane lulu as much late game as if you are buffing your ADC they need whimsy and the shield to be a monster. that is pretty much the entire point of lulu. you have your ult to peel them. you basically just W and E on cooldown as mid lane lulu for the ADC and watch them 1 v 5 as they are fast as fuck and unkillable.

BONUS ATTACK SPEED: 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100% Marking a new target with Love Tap reduces Strut's cooldown by 2 - 1.1 seconds.

Also, Nunu's blood boil is a lot more powerful.

nunu's blood boil has long been one of the best attack speed steroids in the game. he also offers absolutely nothign else to his adc so in terms of his balance for support hes pretty much just a W bot who can peel with his ult sort of? but not really. so nunu support is garbo. he has one thing that makes him somewhat viable.

for support or mid lane it doesnt really matter. 40% attack speed steroid on an adc late game is massive. id give up polymorph every single time unless you are need to stop someoene diving your adc who is near instant burst. and even then u still have ult to knock them up and exhaust as a support. polymorph is a great tool for both mid and solo lane lulu but most of the time you want whimsy. it is basically then entire reason you would pick lulu. if you want shields you would go janna or karma. Lulu's kit is literally perfect for buffing ADCs and this makes it even more ADC buffing focused.

30% reduction is a big nerf to (support) lulu. She already does little damage as poke with her Q and this will make it worse. Sustain lanes like raka or Sona will be able to heal up any poke she does. Also why would I use W on my ADC when I can polymorph? It also has a pretty long cool down so just because I wanted my ADC to get an extra shot or 2 in, we are dead because I couldn't polymorph the enemy. Even if you play lulu mid, polymorph would be superior to the AS. I'd rather polymorph zed, fizz, lb, ahri than just have some extra attack speed for a few seconds.

lulu is one of my best champions in mid lane. 30% dmg reduction only affects mid lane lulu...if you are support you can poke away from minions. you still have your empowered auto attacks for harass through minions and if they step outside of minions then you have your chance to glitterlance.

why would you W your adc? do you understand how important ovespeed is? and how important attack speed is? you clearly dont understand the concept of all in when it comes to bot lane. those few extra autos and move speed for your adc to reposition and dodge things is huge. mid lane lulu is primarily a thing because her whimsy is a max speed buff with ap, and she has a giant shield and she has an ult to save. shes basically zilean but better with less damage.
