I know he was an unbalancable pile of crap but I really truly miss old Sion.

I have a really strong memory about having the best game of my life where I went 27/2 or something like that with old AP Sion with a full AP Mejais build literally two-shotting people with a Q-W combo and having a shield of over 1k.

Or that one time where I was getting outplayed by an enemy Irelia and going 0/2. The third time she jumped me I just popped ultimate and killed her anyway because of extreme attack speed and 100% life steal.

I think the new Sion is okay but unlike the other reworks it straight out killed what made old Sion Sion. I know his old concept is really hard but what if a crit, life steal and auto attack based Juggernaut was introduced as a new champion, or someone who was a living AP grenade waiting to pop while running straight at you? I know I'm just a random guy on the boards wearing Nostalgia glasses but I'd really truly love it if somehow a more balanced version of AP or AD pre-rework Sion would be introduced as a new champion.

The Sion rework might be the best rework Riot has ever done. Old Sion was clunky at best. Just because you had one good game on him one time does not mean he was good lol

I don't say his rework was bad, It's just not really Sion but a completely different champion. Old Sion was a Juggernaut/Burst Mage and instead of making new Sion the same, they turned him into a tank.

I'd just love it if a new champion got introduced that catches the essence of old Sion, like a much less outdated, new and balanced version of him.

Old Sion was barely a Juggernaut, and played almost exclusively as a mage. For an undead war hero of Noxus sporting a massive axe, none of the old kit particularly felt like it was applicable to his story and lore. He was crafted as this weird flesh eating zombie and his lore just stated he was an undead war machine. The rework solidified his identity and gave him a kit that fit with it. It turned an awkward mess into a cohesive champion.

Of course he was a Juggernaut. His AP version was a mage, yes, but his AD crit build definitely was a Juggernaut if I've ever seen one.

Sad thing is, old sion would probably be considered balanced now, since there's more oppressive champions floating around these days.

I was honestly hoping the Sion rework was going to end up giving us two champions, one an auto-attack focused, lifestealing Juggernaut and the other a shield-bomb focused Control Mage. In a lot of ways, Ivern's Triggerseed is more or less what I would have expected out of a remade Sion shield bomb.

Old Sion's Ult is still a really neat idea. Massive lifesteal that also heals your team. If Aatrox ever gets remade I would still love to see it transferred to him since it fits his 'inspiring people to fight' theme.
