"Guinsoo's Rage: Every other basic attack will trigger on hit effects an additional time." We forgetting something riot? This will apply every 4th hit right? Remember Vayne Kayle Kindred Especially because you don't need smite? C'MON are y'all serious.....

EDIT: Hehe... KogMaw literally cancer.

Rageblade is super expensive for what it gives. The only way someone should get this is if they are super snowballing.

It's expensive yea? So is item 3089 and item 3031 and item 3508. Consider what this really does though, due to its build path you can actually built straight to it. Buuuut, when you actually see it in game, you'll see just about every champion builds it first.

All those items give good stats on too of their costs plus a good passive. Guinsoo's gives weaker stats and on most champions, half the stats stats are useless on them (AD can't make use of AP, AP can make little use of AD). Plus now it takes a couple attacks to build up.

If we're thinking logically yes, it wouldn't make sense to build these items, but when you see it in play, I'm pretty sure you'll think otherwise.

I have seen it in play already on the PBE, on a champion like Kog and trist, yes, it is still good, but on the other average ADC, it is not that great because they could get an essence reaver, and some sttack speed, and I bet it will do better than RB.

Keep in mind though that feature doesn't take effect until you've got max stacks. It's not like a Vayne can just walk up to you and proc her W every other attack. That's a huge window to punishment her for spending so much gold on an item that doesn't provide many stats.

To be frank, Vayne players building Rageblade are usually shooting themselves in the foot more than anything else.

I could maybe see it as a late game item. But a lot of people are still going to try to rush it and do no damage

LatetotheRace1 votes

How do you figure? It's going to be pretty good on Vayne due to the extra application of the W, which puts it on a 2 hit rotation. Since Guinsoo's also gives attack speed, it's going to be excessive.

Consider the build she has:

Wants to Rush Blade of the Ruined King Boots Last Whisper

Looking at Champion.gg, two of her other main items are Phantom Dancer and Mercurial Scimitar, Auto Attack items with defensive utility, something that Guinsoo's will provide none of. Replacing these items with Guinsoo's puts Vayne at a higher risk, which at best we can argue is a break even.

What this essentially means the one item Vayne regularly builds now that can be replaced without significant changing in the rest of her build is Infinity Edge. Infinity Edge gives a bit of everything; bolstering your Burst potential with Flat AD and Crit Chance to multiply with Vayne's Ult and also doing decently well with Tank Busting with its Crit multiplier and synergy with Last Whisper. Guinsoo's on the other hand pretty much only puts her down the path of a Tank Buster.

But here's the thing.

Vayne is not the premier Tank Buster. Kog'Maw is. And Kog'Maw takes advantage of Rageblade both now and probably afterwards anyway, so trying to make Vayne compete with Kog here is just going to make a really inefficient Kog. Vayne's niche is indiscriminately tearing through everyone, squishies and Tanks alike, so a more rounded build like Infinity Edge suits her better. Not to mention, it doesn't have the +2 second delay to her powerspike in every fight she jumps in, especially since that delay is one that accentuates Vayne's biggest weakness of being focused down before she can properly do something.

You´re forgetting one thing though. Kayle's the only one who´ll benefit from Guinsoo's entirely. Vayne and Kindred have no AP ratios and therefore do not need Rageblade. It doesn´t matter if it´ll be broken on them too. It´s a waste of gold that could be well spent elsewhere.

Try one of the underdogs... Varus and yasuo.... Yasuos massive crit mixed with lifestwal makes him unkillable, soloing baron alone and elder dragon without losing any health in the end. And his e has an ap ratio And varus is underrated with it, adding ad and increasing % damage per w charge

LatetotheRace1 votes

I could see varus building it I guess, but in comparison to the other marksmen who can abuse this, I doubt he'll get too much play. Vayne for instance every 2 hits will do 15% of your max hp in true damage. Kind of beats out varus tbh.

stealthfox941 votes

Yeah AP Vayne is really viable.

LatetotheRace1 votes

So when MasterYi Warwick XinZhao built item 3124 it was okay? But if a champion that will do 15% max health true damage every other hit isn't viable? Yes the stats won't be incredibly significant, but that's just one item.

stealthfox941 votes

I do believe both xin and warwick have some AP ratios. Building any amount of AP on Vayne is a waste of gold.

TehNACHO1 votes

All three have AP Ratios. It's not just about the on hit effect, it's also about maximizing the item in every area. Stupid Meditates to Qs chunking squishies down and healing you to the stupidity that was AP Xin Zhao, even before Rageblade, and it's not that hard to see why a Hybrid item like Rageblade perfectly fit with these particular auto attackers.

Icestar11861 votes

It's still a lategame item and isn't that good until you have more onhit effects. I'm predicting more Kayle play, though.

LatetotheRace1 votes

Absolutely, kayle will see a massive spike in playrate. But it's not about the on-hits from items. It's about the built ones these champions have ^^^^.

Icestar11861 votes

Yes, those champions do have powerful onhits. However, Vayne can't use the AP at all and I'm not sure Kindred really can either. Kayle's the only one it would be viable on as an early item.
