Discussion about Warwick changes

You said it yourself, Riot, you want any champion class to be able to carry. Juggernauts, for example, are supposed to be strong late game (Nasus, Darius, ...) or think Irelia, Fiora ... And I think they are =) This is good, as now it is mostly ADC who are relevant late game.

Having a champion very strong early and very weak late game is a bad idea. Because it's too binary. Either he snowball, or it's a painful long agony as you know you're going to lose because you didn't snowball and you'll lose in 20 min or so. In both case, snowball or agony, it's frustrating and unfun games.

Now, Warwick was too strong early, too weak late. We all agree on this, I think. He can lvl 2 solo drake, he has tons of sustain and strong ganks so he can clear his jungle and gank a lot and efficiently early... but then he fall off late game.

Yesterday, you suggested a change on the PBE, to nerf his early and buff his late. That was such a good change!!!! Having Warwick less oppressive early, less snowbally or nothing, and able to do something late game, yay! That was a great idea =D

And now, you revert it to be as strong as he is now early, but much weaker late game, where he is already weak? Can you explain to me why you went from a smart change to a dumb late game nerf? I must have missed your logic there...

Also, old ww q was: 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16% of target's maximum health Now, you suggest: 5/5.5/6/6.5/7% of target's maximum health

Yes, that's less than half compared to before. + Grievous Wound is free now, it wasn't before item 3123 item 3165 item 3033 item 3075 Meaning, late game, Warwick will be very, very weak.

I'm asking you, please, think a bit more about it before shipping the changes. The first changes you suggested, nerfing his early and buffing his late, were much, much smarter and made so much more sense. Thanks.

I really do not get the current PBE changes unless they have plans to nerf his W again later in the cycle. Honestly the current Q change does not do anything but make the W max skill up order even more mandatory. This is more of a nerf to lanewick and the AP build than it is to the regular jungle build.

1% Q damage nerf early game while a slight nerf to his mid and a big nerf late game where he is close to worthless makes zero sense.

Nerfing alternative rune, role and skill ups while leaving the dominate one pretty much untouched is an extremely wrong way to go about this.

At least with yesterdays changes it had a clear direction on what it was targeting. You would either go Q Max for the damage and sustain or max W for better early game pressure and clear instead of having both like live Warwick does now. You would be making a choice! Now with the current PBE changes you will always max W no real debate there.

Yes, exactly. I agree with you. I posted here, in hope that the balance team reads Warwick players (and players playing against Warwick) opinion: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/oYqIA0zf-pbe-chat-with-the-playtest-team-89 maybe you could add something =)
