Like why do they think item 3751 items need additional bursts of damage?

Why do they look at struggling champions and immediately think: "Yeah see the problem is they aren't doing enough damage obviously, so just pump that shit up and boom fixed!" Why do they almost never look at the dominant champs and think: "Hmm this champion is overperforming, maybe we should look at tuning them down..." And the few and far between star aligned moments where they DO nerf a dominant champions it's guaranteed to be a fucking joke where they'll take off some movespeed or lower an ability's stats by a whopping:

#25 DAMAGE AT ALL LEVELS

God fucking forbid Riot ever actually look at the fucking game in action and notice the fact that people are getting OVERKILLED BY BASIC FUCKING ABILITY COMBOS, nononononono the game is just fine how it is, just shave 25 damage off that 500+ damage basic ability with a cooldown lower than 5 seconds, they're balanced now that they're doing 475 damage every time they land it in addition to their other 500+ damage abilities.

Their balance policy needs to change sometime soon or the game will just continue on its downward spiral. Damage needs to be lowered, itemization needs to be prioritized.

what we need is a proper tank item update, something that makes the tank items stronger but harder for champs like ekko to abuse

Because sunfire needs the damage. If the passive is not worth it, then the item isnt worth it. The entire point of the item is passive threat and waveclear. Why the hell wouldnt you buff that part, given THATS WHY YOU BUY THE ITEM?

It also helps tank junglers out immensely as well, who have been falling out of favor.

Because Sunfire's niche as a defensive item is ... the damage over time effects. Cinderhulk users are typically picked for their CC too, and theyre difficult to use because they have very low clear speeds, or are named Olaf, and Bami's Cinder/hulk dealing bonus damage after applying hard CC helps to speed that up.

Really, the entire plan is just to make Sejuani overpowered again so she can be spammed in every pro game for 3 months, get gutted, be picked anyway, start to fall off and then Riot buffs her R and she's broken in Solo Queue AND Pro play for the rest of the season, but gets no victorious skins or eSports team skins or really any skins recognizing the hundreds of thousands of games players are held at LP-point to play Sejuani

First of all, by helping tanks this change ultimately lowers damage creep - each tank played on top or jungle is one less fighter/assassin/mage/adc played there, and is not like with this 100-ish damage procs tanks will sudenly deal the same damage as other classes.

Second, tanks as a class are unplayable because due to their low damage they are unable to clear the jungle or hold their tower on the top, not because they die to quickly or have too little CC.

So while in general I agree that there is too much damage in the game, in this case damage buff is precisely what is needed and also doesn't increase average damage in the game.
