These are not Mages, these are Assassins, these do not follow the playstyle of Mages one bit and always seem to be brought up when people complain about "broken Mages"

Mages as a class are not broken, AP Assassins are the problem and are what truly need to be looked at, unfortunately Riot seem to be completely uninspired and refuse to even imagine reworking AP items to create different options for Mages, AP Bruisers and AP Assassins like they did with AD. So until they do, start complaining about the real issue instead of calling an entire class broken because of champs that don't even fit in the class or playstyle.

Neither assassins or mages are even a problem either. You can easily win and have entire team comps without either of them. There is one class where this isn't the case and it isn't assassins or mages.

They are mages, just burst mages. Sylas Ahri Leblanc Elise Are 100% mages, you could make the argument the others are AP assassins.

only akali on that list is not a mage. the rest, you can literally go into champ select, and search "mage" and they'll come up. why are you lying to us and claiming your tip is a protip when it so casually ignores actual reality? pathetic

Also Ahri is TECHNICALLY a mage, she's just very mobile with her ult. Until then she players similarly to Lux. Try to hit your CC for some burst and stay back.

I would like to point out that Sylas is a diver and four of those are technically specialists despite Riot's system saying otherwise, but I understand the message

it causes arguments because the characters express the best traits of what people want them to be when in reality they do not fit into any one category

as just an example, is Kassadin even an assassin anymore? His damage is spread out a lot over time, though he does adhere to the hit and run playstyle of assassins

None of those are an issue? L2P. Get MR there's not enough pen to overcome it. AP stacking a team is the worst thing you can do.

Ahri isn’t an assassin anymore. She used to be.

Elise physically cannot be an assassin. Her q1 does only %hp damage Q2 does %missing hp damage And w1 is her only flat damage ability. This layout of abilities does not allow for an assassin play style.
