What is the counterplay to Quinn top?

I am seriously trying to get better at this matchup and not complaining.

I am getting really frustrated trying out different champions against her and having below average success at best. The closest I come to even is with Kayle, but if I get hit by blind and try to wander aimlessly back to my tower getting autoed, I feel like lane is halfway lost. If somebody has some knowledge they would like to drop on me, I would be thrilled.

You build armor and sustain to survive the lane, then you either consistently out trade her after you both hit 6 (where you presumably have an in-combat ult powerspike vs her map mobility powerspike) or you win all-ins vs her.

Any tank should have a field day - sure, they won't farm so easily, but they'll have good lock down for when a gank comes. They don't need items as badly to scale (as CC is huge) and they'll bring more to their team than Quinn brings to her as long as they don't feed kills.

Just sit back, give up some early CS so you can safely gain XP under tower. You'll fall a bit behind in gold, but you'll keep up in XP and naturally out-scale team-comp wise. At least that's my logic to it.

There are obviously also counter picks, but I'm not a fan of saying "pick X" to balance something (because what if you picked first). Pretty much, Quinn relies on snowballing off of lots of free kills in lane. Give up some CS early to stop that, and you should be fine.

I hate facing Quinn top as well, and I feel the best bet to actually fight her would be another range champion, and preferably one with some hard CC. I've done well against Quinns top with Gnar and Kennen. Though for melee champions, you would have to play a champion with a gap closer to get on to her since she could just bounce off you and chunk you if you just ran up to her. Though I've actually done pretty good against her as well with Olaf. Sure the first couple levels are hard on him, but once you get your ultimate you don't care for her jump or blind and once you get your item 3748 then you can burst her down pretty fast.

Gnar gets wrekt by her hard. Better all-in, Vault stops the little hop, and Mega is so telegraphed that she dodges everything.

Kennen is a skill match-up.

Olaf...he is a rare pick.

Frankly I'd pick something like a Rammus or a Malphite if they weren't always banned. Otherwise. People with CC do well, play safe and call for ganks.

I wouldn't say that Gnar gets wrecked against her, though I do agree that some times the match up could be hard. I just try to last hit and weaken her down with my Q and then jump on her once I get close to mega, though maybe the Quinns I beat as Gnar wasn't very good ones or just didn't know the match ups.

I've actually picked Shyvana into her one time and did pretty good to. Just survive the first 10-15 minutes of the game, and then once you reach level 6 and get item 3153 you can fight her and actually catch her.

Normally when I face a Gnar I try to make them pay for each last hit with an AA. I still feel like old blind was better for dealing with him though.

As to Shyv you can just out-roam her. I also tend to run YGB first for that nice ArP and the active which is good everywhere.

The problem with having a good gap closing champion is quinn can just switch to harassing with q and only using e when you burn the gap close or to negate the gap close and kite you.

Yea I guess it really depends on the gap closing champion and cool downs. Though if you think she will save it until after you gap close, you could just try to trick her and just run up to her and then force her to use her e on you to kite you and then use it.

Pantheon does pretty well into Quinn.

Olaf Pantheon Poppy Vladimir all can do decently. It's largely a skill matchup, but if you play your cards right and don't die to a gank, you can beat her. I've beaten her with Olaf, and I've jungled for few games where Poppy does well (W can block Quinn's Vault).

Pends on your play style. I've, quite figuratively, destroyed a Quinn with a Teemo of all people.

Quinn is one of those 'dick move' champions you put top to, well, just be a dick. Teemo seems to do fine, "Blind me and I'll blind you back!" It's all pending on play style. If you're good with Ryze, you can use him too.
