no its not. especially jungle and mid have a huge impact on the whole map. and with bot lane its usually 2 and 3 people getting fed on the team.
if youre not playing a roam focused champion like shen or someone who can really hard carry a game when he wins top lane, then top will usually have the least impact as a whole.
even if you do pick a champion who gets fed and can hard carry, you might still face 2 or 3 fed people on the enemy team who can do the same.
Honestly, the Reciprocal argument to "I can't impact the team because I'm in an island called top lane" is "I have more Gold and XP because I'm in an Island called top lane"
I have noticed that Top lane has significantly more impact in a split push meta. Especially when duelists are favored. Because top lane will farm for a lot longer, You will end up with the XP advantage. and if your a duelist, basically no one can actually solo you.
This isn't happening in the LCS as of late, due to how much the lane swap is favored. Which actually puts the top laner behind, and turns midlane into the island. But since lane swaps arn't common in yoloQ, you need to consider the benefits, (not just the drawbacks) of being on an island.)
