I still don't understand why Gold is the cut off for the majority of rewards.

Gold is really easy to get to, however, getting out of it and getting in to Platinum or Diamond is also a feat, why do we not get specific rewards?

Because gold is still the top 30 percent of players. You're running up a slippery slope. You're saying since you happen to be platinum that THAT is an achievement. However, what is now stopping a diamond player from saying "plat is garbage and easy to get to".

No one will be excited about the rewards if they feel they're not achievable. The largest group of players in the game is in silver. Thus, the goal is put just slightly out of their reach to motivate the bulk of the playerbase to push themselves up in rank. Hell, getting to gold from bronze is quite possible as well if you improve a bit.

But put the rewards in plat or Diamond? Well now so few people can get there that very few people try. Riot wants people to try... not to see the rewards and say "Whelp, that isn't gonna happen" and give up.

Only 36% of the players are gold or higher. If any idiot could get gold, this would not be true.

Sorry, I don't believe that. Maybe this was the case in previous seasons, but at least 50% of the players are gold+ this season.

35.46% of players are gold 5 or higher.

although I think you are right in that more people are ranked higher than in past seasons but its not as inflated as you seem to believe

Well no, I wouldn't be that harsh, a lot of people are stuck in Silver, it is a huge deal for them to get to Gold 5, so they should be rewarded, however, I am saying Platinum players and Diamond players should have exclusive rewards for making it higher on the ladder.

Once you start raising the tiers people want it to only be the highest possible so that if one party is screwed you screw more people. Why should plats get it diamonds think plat is easy. Why should diamond 5 get it? Why should master get it?

Gold is the top ~30% of the community.

Reaching it is still an accomplishment, even if other ranks are harder to reach.

They probably wanted more than 10% of the community to receive Victorious Skins and set a realistically achievable goal for most players.

I think that they should give you free RP for getting Plat+ increasing every division. Doesn't really lose them any money to do this either, but instead makes people want to play the game more.

If you look at the percent of NA players in gold almost 26% , 40% are in silver and another another 25% in bronze. Getting to plat club (yay the 8% of us!) Is hell as it is when you get people who get boosted into there and giving the rest of us hell.

-Bronze: people without mouse and keyboard/ legit retarded people -Silver: either people that got unlucky to climb because you can't carry on your own there or bronzes that got lucky to get carried 3 games in a row -Gold: bronzes that bought a keyboard -Plat: bronzes that learned that if you right click turrets you win -Diamond until 2: bronzes that learned how to right click a turret -Diamond 1-2: decent players, i call this the "level zero" -Masters: trolls that don't get challenger and play lazy just because they don't want to go back to the bronzetards with normals/people that has challenger/masters as friends. -Challenger: pro players, but in this case it's a job and is not a hobby anymore.

Hope i answered a lot of questions.

To silver and bronze players, Gold does not seem "easy to get to." I agree there should be rewards higher up though. Like Plat+ getting the victorious skin, but also maybe getting the championship skin for free. Diamond+ get a special chroma for the championship skin (if they were to ever put chromas on championship skins lmao).
