People first timing champions in ranked, people trolling at the very first opportunity they get, people afking at first sight when something goes wrong. Too much flaming, passive aggressive stuff, more willingness to fight between teammates over winning games.
Really, is anyone taking ranked climb, or even the game, seriously anymore?
Not really. Riot took out pretty much any skill expression you might have and leaves elo enhancers broken for months. So why even bother? This is a 4fun game now not a competitive skill based game anymore.
Soon as I hit Gold/Plat I just dip out of the game mentally. Getting above Silver to prove you're better than the majority of the player base is all that's worth doing. Trying to be a Diamond or Challenger is just the ultimate masturbatory endeavor.
I have to admit, while I'm enjoying actually making progress towards diamond/challenger for the first time, getting there right now is more of a long hike than it is a climb.
Climbs involve struggle and are only as long as it takes for a person to get to the top.
Hikes are just long no matter what.
The soloQ ladder is now just a hike, where you'll get there eventually, don't worry - there's sub-50% WR people in challenger right now (LOL) - it's just a matter of time and general competence.

I got to Gold so I don't really play Ranked anymore, and the few times I do I'm just helping my lower Silver friends out.
Of course. You just don't remember those games.
The majority of people in my games take there roles very seriously.
