Why doesn't Sona Q pull minion aggro like every other targeted spell now?

Riot talked about wanting consistency and making no exceptions to their targeted spells changes. A lot of mid laners just got nerfed because of a change that was aimed at fixing top lane....

So my question is, if champions like Kassadin and Cassiopeia are forced to take minion aggro for their targeted spells why is Sona an exception? Her Q functions EXACTLY the same way in that you can't avoid it all besides never approaching the wave if she decides to zone you, and if you try to trade back you pull minion aggro.

because you don't click on the champion in order to use the ability. the targeted spell change only affects targeted abilities that requires you to actively click on the enemy champion. it is similar to swain's ult, except that will hit 5 targets instead of 2 like sonas.

so yes this is consistent with their change.

Sona's Q isn't targeted, it's a point-blank auto-targeted ability.

Sona isn't really targeted in the same way (as in, hover your mouse over a target, hit button, hit target). It prioritizes champs in range yes, but it not targetted exactly, and I believe their changes were specifically done with targeted spells in mind (and more over was more aimed at oppressive champs particularly in top lane, and not so much support).

If Sona is performing particularly well they might manually tweak it to draw agro maybe perhaps, but I'm pretty sure sona is actually on the weaker side of things and needs buffs if anything.

It isn't single target.

Also Sona already sucks.

Sona's Q is 1: Not targeted and 2: a multi-target ability.

Not a targeted spell obviously

However Sona still takes minion heat over her auto attack that deals most of the damage
