Reminder that mages get tanky as fuck by building glass cannon

I think this is a Cho'Gath thread.
That's a good idea...

I've given consideration to the following Anivia build in the past:

how
Mages have so many items that give tons of offense and tons of defense at the same time lolololol
So, one sub-par MR item, some fairly meh health items, and one of the lower-armor armor items makes a tank?
uuuhhh -.- that's kind of an oximoron

Except they don't? A mage building glass cannon would have like...
,
,
,
,
and
or
or
. Which would give them a subpar armor item with a good active and maybe some MR or health.
Items like
are usually build on AP bruisers like
or
, not glass cannon AP champs, they aren't never used, but you rarely see all the hybrid AP items on burst mages like
AD isn't any different.
all give tank stats and it's just as common, if not more, to see one or more of them on assassins.
I would agree with you if this was posted last month. But the long awaited fighter rework finally brought items like
that allows fighters to compete with mages in itemization.
No they don't.
Annie is the only exception because her ratios are so ridiculous she can easily build a tank item or two and still deal ludicrous damage. Her E also helps immensely with this.
