Why you can never improve just by playing on constant repeat.

If you're stuck playing with golds you'll play like one, simple as that.

I had to start playing and thinking like a platinum player before I got out of silver. The best way to improve is to mimic the best players. Go to challenger in your region and view their profile. Copy their runes and masteries, and see lots of different builds. Use their champions, and play their roles. Of course there are other stuff to learn, but it's a great boost to your gameplay.

For example, top challenger in EUW right now is Gilius 1v9. He plays jungle and mains Nidalee, Lee Sin and Elise.

The only problem is that most people learn from losing, but what do you learn losing to the people who are as good as you? Almost nothing, because they make terrible mistakes that you think are correct most of the time, because you see them all the time, and when you adapt to a silver play style you're stuck there, nearly impossible to climb because nobody actually teaches you how to play and keep learning. You're just stuck with nothing guiding your way and learning from people your skill level. Streams barely help me too, and LCS doesn't help much either.

The best way I found to learn is to watch youtube videos of single champions being played. Watch every step they take, every decision. That's much better than watching LCS where the screen jumps around and rarely shows relic shield mechanics or warding.

Honestly, I just don't learn from that. My macro is awful, and I'm a hands on guy, if I'm not playing a game where I'm constantly challenging my macro and getting feedback I don't learn, which is why I don't really learn from losing.

Write down your mistakes on a piece of paper, then have it next to you when you go into the next game. Keep reminding yourself of those mistakes. That might help.

You can't climb until you take serious looks at your own play and adopt a mindset of improvement. Find a dozen champions you can play who are strong in the meta for whatever patch you play, watch your replays (especially your losses) and see what you can do to improve, and watch pro streams or YouTube guides.
