How do you know if your allies have their ults up?

Before the HUD changes, you would just look at their icon and you would know immediately. Green dot, they're good to go. No green dot, no ult. I'm sure there's a way to tell that I'm just not noticing, but if's much less transparent than before. When you press tab, it isn't immediately obvious whether they have it or not. Sorry to complain, but I just wish there was an easier way to tell if the ult was up. I don't want to have to mouse over someone to view details. I want this info to be extremely easy to find. It's not something you want to be messing around trying to find in an intense teamfight.
