Half joking with the title but actually though, a lot of the diver champs thrive best in the jungle rather than lane, and looking at the early info of the kit I would have thought to take her in the jungle. This looks to me like riot looking at the past with shyvana, vi, and even ekko and explicitly looking to make sure the champ doesn't end up jungling. Any context on the reasoning behind this tidbit in the tooltip, was the clears that oppressive in your playtest?

sometimes riot wants a champion to perform in selected roles like top or mid and not others like adc and jungle. A prime example of this was Vi she was initially released as a top laner and after everyone found out how good she was in jungle riot had to adjust her scaling and ratios accordingly and now she is known as a jungler. Maybe riot doesn't want that to happen again jsut like all the malzahar jungle nerfs.

Riot explicitly made the new malz better capable jungler than his his old kit, most especially as a shout out to aquadragon. That ended up way overtuned in that role though. The base numbers on her kit shouldn't make her a super clearing jungler and from looking at streams that targeted nerf is the specific thing that is holding her back from being a viable jungler.

not every champ needs to be viable in every role, she has mid and top be happy
