Why are riven players this awful.

The experience I had previous games I had with riven players in soloque are just painful as a jungler. They just always lose. They have a tendancy to take ignite and lose lane at lvl 1 or 2, then go afk or take MY jungle creeps because I did not make a gank at 2 mins in game. Then proceeds to open top for the sake of it, and spam "FF 15" since 3 mins in game for a whole 12 mins. I got enough of this, and started to ban or dodge rivens and instant mute them if I was unlucky to have one, and not even bother ganking one because of the dissapointment they are.

There is no frigging reason to pick Riven when there is fiora anyways.

I like Riv but tbh, I don't play her much anymore. Made lvl 7 with her and do well, but on the flip of some Riven's being toxic I have had negative attitude at the onset of a game for simply picking her. Same goes when I pick Draven, or Yasuo.

Not all players are dicks, just like not all Riv's are dicks. But when you try to play her the auto response from your team is nothing but flaming and demoralizing comments before the match even begins. And when you get the attitude from jg and other lanes who from the onset make it clear that they won't gank or help pressure your lane then why even bother.

It is a 2 way street. The whole auto ban it and mute it and ignore the lane is a perfect example of a dick response to someone playing a champ, and maybe the problem is more you than them. Sounds like your more part of the problem then you care to admit and cost top its lane by not pressuring or communicating because you cannot see past your bias.

Fiora vs Riven is actually 100% skill related. The matchup is fun to play.

The issue you're having with Riven is pretty common, and it's because Riven is a snowball oriented champion that sucks when behind. Either she rolls through a team or she runs into a window, it's always one or the other. Riven and Yasuo tend to attract the edgelords of league so they are basically on tilt constantly.

what buggs me is im a tree main ( most are aware of it) and last night i saw maokai picked against my team in nearly every game ( i was autofilled to adc alot) and the twice got a maokai on my team( not me) saw them just flat out so bad and cringe i was like how can you be that bad on this champ.

last game was a 1st timer who picked him into darius lol i can win that lane but its not easy

see the key to maokai vs darius is you just disengage .. you q w and autos on him use E to harass and anytime he wants to fight you disengage and just cs... if you misplay or get out of position he can grab and all in you. and he can kill you most of the time. and people make the mistake of trying to rush armor vs him but need to rush HP

I'm reasonably certain she's only even still in the game to give all the edgelord Yas players a spammy, AD, manaless faceroll shitlord to play now that Yas is banned in nearly every game.

Well that would explain why all the Riven's are shit, if they think she's a spammy faceroll shitlord to play when Yas is banned.

Also, Riven can play as an assassin yes, but she can also be a great addition to your wombo in a teamfight (even when played shit, E+R+flash+3rdQ+W is still effective). She's also a great duelist with the right build, and outscales most tanks.

Any decent Riven will engage either with E (and flash, unless you're within E+Q range and low enough to die from an all in), or will get close enough that they can W immediately after Q'ing).

Of course, the shit Rivens...

Sadly, if they weren't on Riven, then they'd be on Zed, Yasuo, Draven or some other champ which they would be attracted to by way of their whiney/spoiled personality type. In the meantime, just play a tank - stall the wave near your tower, ward your lane, get the occasional helping gank by your jungler and smile.

Because Riven is a difficult champion. They flame/afk because the people playing them are toxic. You don't see any good Rivens because you've started to ban them.

Riven outshines Fiora in basically every scenario outside of splitpushing, and Riven's still better at certain parts of that (if you go to 1v2 a Riven and one of you is squishy, most likely the squishy one will get flashed on and oneshot, and then Riven either runs away laughing or tries to duel the other person).

Riven is a far better teamfighter, too. She also doesn't get fucked by Pantheon as much.

Panth fucks everything that can't just sit quietly back, outscale him and then matter late. Seriously, that is all it takes. Panth falls off a cliff REAL fast. Almost any tanky, teamfighting champ can just play super passive and just wait for Panth to fall off and stop mattering. It's kinda boring, but it works almost EVERY time.

Um WHAT

Riven into Panth is farm with E until level 6, then all in and destroy him.

Fiora into Panth is get stomped because you literally aren't getting any farm, so even though you have a combat ult it means nothing.

Fiora can Riposte Panth's stun only if 1) Panth is dumb enough to use it to engage or 2) Fiora predicts it. Panth doesn't even need to engage on Fiora and FIora lacks sustain when she can't proc Vitals due to Panth's passive. Not to mention her trading is nonexistent due to Panth's passive, and her all in damage is also very bad because of it.

Pantheon is Fiora's hardest counter, and it is pretty much impossible for any Fiora to win against a smart Pantheon.

Riven still gets poked super hard and has a very difficult time farming against pantheon. Especially if he gets jungle pressure early. Yes if you manage to farm well you can all in at six and kill him. But if he gets ahead and freezes, your sol for like 10 minutes unless you get some successful roaming off.

You don't even need to farm that well though, I'm pretty sure Riven with Caulfields > Pantheon with Dirk and Caulfields (as long as you don't get hit by his R, which can happen if he ganks and your dashes are down).

Plus Riven's E is a really good farming ability against Panth, since you can farm safely until he throws his Q (pretty much instantly), you block it with E, and then you can keep on farming until his Q comes back up. That's like 5 seconds of farm taking 0 free damage.

But to be honest. Is a experienced riven even worth in this CC-tank meta? Fiora can bust tanks and heal her allies which is very benefitial to her team. Riven is so self-centered ironically just like her player fanbase. It is just cringe.

It's the effect that also exists on champions like yasuo. New players usually play them because they sound fun to play when in reality their skill cap required to play them is higher than one would think. As so, the majority of riven players tend to not know how to play her unless they main her.

Take this advice however you'd like as I am a riven main myself.
