Why exactly should we have a third champion now with an in-kit perma HP stack mechanic?

This used to be sion's unique standout capability.

Then you added chogath to the mix. OK I guess, at least chogath has to meet certain conditions like execute champs or neutrals.

Now you want to add it on swain. OK I guess in the sense that swain has to meet certain conditions to (pull souls). But what the fuck? This is a niche thing originally ONLY for sion, now for 3 champions. I think the change is fucking garbage, there's certainly other ways to buff swain that doesn't erode some of the more unique aspects of other champions.

Because with 145 champions, each with 4 abilities and a passive, you're going to have some overlap in kit mechanics. The overlap gets even easier to spot if you make it as vague as possible.

For example, sion's health stacking comes from unit kills. Swain's comes from his soul generating abilities (His W and grabs on rooted targets). Cho'gath gets his by ulting them which is closer to Sion's mechanic than Swain is.

Besides, I wouldn't say 5 hp per minion kill is what everyone first thinks about when you mention Sion. My guess would be a giant unstoppable meatball charging you from across the map.

neither swain nor cho gath have as much disabling cc as sion

chogath has an AOE knockup a silence and a slow swain has a slow, root/pull sion has 2 knockups, a slow, and us unstobbable during its knockup.
