[Gameplay Update Concept] Rengar, the Pridestalker

Tentakill Myself··7 votes·676 views

Passive - Pridestalker

Prey - Every 60 Seconds, Rengar may choose an enemy Champion to stalk as Prey (Similar to Kindred ). Rengar's Abilities have additional effects against Prey, and killing them will grant 3 stacks of Bonetooth Necklace.

Bonetooth Necklace - Rengar collects the bones of his Prey, granting additional effects based on how many bones he has collected. 1 Bone is granted for killing an enemy Champion or Dragon, while 3 Bones are granted for killing an enemy Champion marked as prey. Every 10 Stacks, Rengar can Choose to permanently upgrade one of his Abilities (Capped at 30 Stacks).

Q - Dagger Toss / Dagger Rend

Rengar hurls his Dagger in a target direction, dealing damage and lodging in the first Wall or Enemy Champion struck.

If Rengar basic attacks an enemy Champion with the Dagger lodged in them, he will deal massive damage to them by rending the Dagger from their skin.

W - Leap of Pride

Rengar leaps to a target location, dealing damage and fearing all Minions and Monsters briefly. The range on this ability is doubled if Rengar is currently not visible from the enemy team. This ability will slow enemy champions briefly if Rengar leaps from stealth.

E - Hunter's Bite

Rengar bites a target enemy, dealing damage and slowing them significantly for a few seconds.

If this ability deals the killing blow to an enemy Champion, Rengar is healed for a large amount of health.

R - Stalker's Trail

Passive - Rengar's prey permanently leave behind an invisible blood trail.

Active - Rengar stealths for 5 seconds, revealing the blood trail of your Prey and their current location. Rengar gains massively increased movement speed while on a blood trail and gains an additional 5 seconds of invisibility each time he enters a new Brush, up to a maximum duration of 20 seconds. Enemy champions are notified when Rengar is near.

Q - Bonetooth Upgrade

Deals increased damage and briefly stuns enemy champions who Rengar rends his Dagger from.

W - Bonetooth Upgrade

Rengar briefly fears enemy champions instead of slowing them if he leaps from stealth.

E - Bonetooth Upgrade

Reduces enemy champion's armor briefly.

R - Bonetooth Upgrade

Rengar's first basic attack after exiting stealth will deal massively increased damage.

Nice! ^^ Seems very healthy to me.

You should post it on reddit and link us there.

Biting and rending daggers from prey doesn't sound like something a hunter would do.

He's not just any hunter - He's a feral hunter, using only his instincts and tactics readily available in nature to help him. If you look at a Lion, they usually bite their Prey to take it down first.

I like it, I really like it. I constantly play Rengar from the release and this is the kind of rework that I expected from Riot and not just an esclamation mark and a skillshot. Maybe something should be change like the heal on e and the fear on champs of empowered w ( too many istant cc on an assassin isn't good), but this could make rengar less situational / r dependent, less famine feast champ and much healthier

stepping on vik and kha's toes rn. the passive sounds like it makes way more sense with kha'zix than Rengar, actually, killing things to improve yourself.

Seems... okay, but for some reason, it just doesn't click for me. For one, I don't think that he should be able to stealth for 20 seconds. For two, I think that his w range increase should only apply if he's in a bush, or you could just use rengar as a red trinket. Three, I think that his dagger should have some sort of effect if it lodges in a wall.

Also, how about for the q, once rengar attacks an enemy marked with a dagger, instead of dealing damage from rending them, he gains bonus attack damage on his next few attacks?

I like the idea, but I'm not sure if this ultimately solves the 1-shot-from-stealth problem.

If this gets taken down at any point because people seem not to like concepts in Gameplay, please do re-post it over in Concepts.
