Is it me or is the Flex ladder an absolute joke?

To prove my point, I am going to list the ranks that the current top 10 Challenger Flex players ended at last season.

  5. Diamond 2

  9. Plat 1

You ready for what the number 1 rated Challenger Flex player was last season?

I honestly feel like people are just abusing the much less competitive Flex ladder for shinier borders at this point lmao. How are you going to say that a challenger board filled with gold-low diamond is a serious game mode? What is the point of having this as a "ranked" mode? It's not even competitive lol.

Can we get rid of Flex so we don't have to have auto-fill anymore? It's an absolute joke of a ladder. Why keep it? We can get rid of this mode to make Solo/Duo better. Why have Flex when we can just play normals with friends? I understand people wanted Flex to play a "competitive" mode with their friends, but how the fuck can you possibly justify calling Flex competitive?

That is actually normal for the start of the season, regardless of queue. They will drop off as the better players climb.

Lmao no it's not. It's not even the slightest bit normal for gold players to hit challenger ever. Beginning of season or not lol

Yeah, Solo/Duo is more appealing to most challenger players since they have to play solo when in challenger anyways and since going solo makes your games depend entirely on your MMR while queueing with anyone makes your games depend on the average MMR between your queue'd buddies.

Once the season starts rolling the ladder will stabilize as more players will have more games and the best and most dedicated players will have their challenger ranks (since they will win more games and play more games).

Yes I am quite serious. That is how a ranking ladder works.

If you can maintain a winrate of higher than 50% then you will climb. That is what these players are doing right now. Early season doesn't really matter as again, better players will outclimb them but the fact of the matter is that these players are challenger right now because they are winning the most games right now.

There is no flex ladder, the ladder in general is a joke

In flex you either dominate everything or you are a fucking joke.

That gold 3 rank doesnt matter. What does matter is that there was a gold 3 player attracting the best players in his region or regions while everyone else was playing with trash because that was all they could muster with their skills.

There are only 2 ranks in flex mode. Winner and loser

There is no autofill in flex, autofill only happens when you voluntarily play with less than 5 players. There is only random lane picking. There is no "autofill" in flex. If you need to blame riot for your failures you either lag or you get the fuck out and go play your little soloqueue so you can cry more and blame the world for elo hell. There is no Elo hell, bad matchmaking, or any of that other crap in Flex mode.

In flex there is no such thing as fair and there is no lube for the weak. Flex is not for fun with friends, there is no fun for friendship there. Flex mode is serious league where a gold player can make you look like a fucking idiot if he's at least good enough to not hold back his team. He's not gonna get stuck in low ranks. He can be a trash player with good ideas and get a chance to outplay you horribly.

What the actual fuck are you talking about? Flex is where Gold players outplay other Gold players and get Challenger for it?

flex is where you outplay anybody else willing to play the mode. If few enough high level players play then yes, you could hit challenger but at the end of the day you will just be a trash challenger like many of the nameless teams that get shit on in big tournaments if you just get carried there.

Flex or no flex, titles like diamond or challenger have not had much weight. If you want to talk big shit talk about the tournaments you've won.
