Did you know you have a ranged auto attack and you can use it in lane on the enemies at no cost? I don't play adc but when I watch botlane and we have a janna support she doesn't know what an auto attack is.

Hey everyone, did you that farming is a thing and harassing the enemy team with a puny auto attack is not at all worth.

Let's weigh out some pros and cons of autoing as a squishy support

Pros: You do about 20 damage a hit every 2 seconds....dassit

Cons: You draw minion aggro Because you draw minion aggro you push lane Because you push lane you are susceptible to ganks Enemy ADC heals your shit damage anyways You bait your adc into engaging making them miss farm and take unnecessary damage

There's more but I think you get the point.

The idea is to auto at the same time as your adc is trading, and/or when you can drop minion agro without disrupting the lane.

While I suspect the OP is probably complaining about them not doing it at all times, including bad times as when you describe, theres plenty of supports who never do it, even when they should be.

Of course, similar applies to adcs. Some never trade/harass ever and just focus on csing which might be ok for some match ups, but in lots of them poking/trading should very much be part of their laning. In neither the adc nor the supports case should they just be ignoring minions and mindlessly AAing the enemy champs, but theres a right time to do it for both.
