@Riot: Is Kalista's Oathswearing supposed to be undeniable?
I mean, I'm sure there's 150 reasons to accept her offer, but sometimes I don't want to be her Battle Buddy.

There's a ton of reasons to want to deny that oath. I've had games where an ally Kali pulled out of my ult as
and
.
Champions like
don't want want to be tossed anywhere close to the enemy team, even if ranged champions do bounce back slightly.
But Riot insists you have no choice but to accept the oath. Back when Kali was first released on the PBE, you could deny the oath. (You had to click on the spear she threw down to accept)
No one was accepting. No one wanted another player, especially some stranger in soloQ, to have the power to yank on your leash. So instead of toning down the power Kali had over her oathsworn (or just getting rid of her completely due to her stupidly powerful passive and unlimited rend stacks) they "fixed" the problem by removing the ability to say no altogether.
so click away from the enemy team and thank kalista for saving you from the diving enemies.
That's great if it's used to save you.
But what if the Kali is ulting you for initiation purposes? Do you click away and make her waste her ult, or "take one for the team"? Not a great scenario.

Or even worse, you're getting Blue/Red and Kalista decides that she wants the buff and ults you right before you're gonna get it. Then she takes it herself.
These seem like such unrealistic problems
Surely tahm swallowing you when you don't want it is a way more common problem everyone has actually experienced
Worse than Tahm Kench swallowing you is Tahm Kench swallowing you when he didn't mean to.

Ya, Tahm is annoying as well. Hate having one on the team.

That's just kalista being an ass, I've seen lux and ezreal do the same thing with their ults, nidalee with her spear, xer with q/r etc.
You click away every time and laugh at your Kalista's awful decision making. Her ult's on a 60 second cooldown or so, so it's not like it'll be missed. If you're a squishy support who isn't the engage, "Taking one for the team" means suiciding for about 1 second of cc when you could be providing so much more and peel. It shouldn't even be an issue.

Then kali should have communicated, click away if you think it's a bad idea, initiate if you think you'll win the fight.

Oooh, didn't know that...
Thanks :)

I think they should do a minor rework on Kalista.
Using her ult on a real teammate late game would be an incredible buff. Making the early game poke passive weaker should balance it?
: I'm going to spear you in combat.
: What?
: I'm going to wait for you get into combat and then I am going to use my passive on you.
5 minutes later
FIRST BLOOD!
: WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!
: I told you I was going to do that.
Back in her reveal, Riot said it could be denied.
From a gameplay standpoint, it should be denied for the same reasons that Thresh's Lantern is deniable.
And it's complete BS that you can't deny it. You shouldn't be forced to have your ally CC you on demand every once every 2-3 minutes.
Yeah, they said when they were testing her you could decline the offer, but you'd have games where everyone declined it and then she's left without an ult.
Normally, people call that a "red flag".

"What's that mean? Lol let's force people to accept the oath." - CertainlyToxic
At the beginning of the game you can keep buying spears incase you mistakenly make the wrong champion your oathsworn. Or you can repetitively "kill" someone which I find hilarious xD
Nobody wanted to play with a stranger (unless you're premading) with a cancer champion that has control over you, so they said "fk this" and fixed the problem putting a stick in our assholes erm I mean by not having the option to refuse
Yes it sounds retarded but it's the sad truth
Well they are playing kalista so go ahead and oathswear my ass. I'll ride that freelo train

Regardless, I'd rather not play Xerath and have Kalista Ult me to her when I press mine.
Not to say it happened, but it's possible.
You can avoid it, but you can't be mindlessly shopping when you hear her throw the spear down. You have to right click away from that spear to cancel it.
Except kalista's ult no longer interrupts channels...
If we're going to be partners, I want to consent to it.
