When was the last time have you seen a support take exhaust?
In every game since 8.11, both supports took ignite.

Almost every game.
never since
got buffed, its Overpowered as fk at the moment.

They buffed it because everyone were either taking
or
. If they nerf it people will just go back to that. Can't really nerf it until they fix the reason why people were taking Heal and Barrier to begin with.
they want there to be more player interaction in lane to make games more interesting especially for Pro play and nah they buffed ignite AND nerfed heal is what I mean. it doesn't particularly matter in the meta currently where bot is taking
but just mentioning it
Every other game for me.
Unless I am playing pyke I always run exhaust when I play support
it cucks zeds and yasuos so hard when I use it when they go in, it seems foolish to not use it
Me. Every game. I don't believe in taking ignite so my carries can die in a situation exhaust would help in. That dmg reduction is everything for me as a supp. I'd rather die protecting my carries than live and they die so I can secure kills for them. I'm just that kind of support
just doesn't help you to win lane, and it hasn't for a long time. As a sup, I still take it for forecast burst damage (yasuo, warwick, malzahar) or on defensive champions like Janna. Maybe in its old form, it would be a priority.
does a LOT of early-game damage, it gives a clear lane advantage, and it reduces healing, both from the sum and from items/kits. I never take it as a support because I "just want to KS" with it.
Thing is, with the new bot lane melee meta coming up, Exhaust will be much more valuable, as you can slow your enemies so your bruiser can catch them easier. It'll be much more important than Ignite once that really rolls into motion.
I can see it, with that sort of chase-down lane. Not fun being on the receiving end of ghost and exhaust lol.
Small Indie company has a huge hard on for Assassin's right now.
Ignite is over tuned af atm to the point I'm even seeing Defensive Supports like Janna and Soraka taking it.

Adding more damage to Ignite was NOT the correct way to solve this.
They should of lowered the absorb amount and heal amount instead of power creeping a True Damage dot.
My proposed changes:
Ignite: Damage reverted from 80 - 505 (based on level) to 70 - 410 (based on level)
Heal Healing reduced from 90 - 345 (based on level) to 80 - 335 (based on level) Cooldown reverted from 270 seconds to 240 seconds.
Barrier Shield reduced from 115 - 455 (based on level) to 105 - 445 (based on level) Cooldown increased to 200 seconds from 180 seconds.
Don't forget that Ignite has to compete not only with Heal/Barrier, but all three of those have to compete with Flash/Teleport. Nerf them at all and they simply won't be taken.
I take exhaust when my ADC takes teleport and I have resigned myself to playing on the back foot all lane and losing if the opposing bot lane can ever force a fight. Helps remind me that my ADC took freaking teleport again. Not saying it doesn't have its uses but I rarely see ADC in low plat/high gold using it well; they just saw some streamer or pro take it so it must be good.
I almost only take ignite because I don't know how to use the exhaust, when i'm playing a champ only for peeling with my pre I may take exhaust, the thing is it's too hard for me to use it at the right time :c
The last time I played support. I don't pay attention to the botlane.
I take exhaust in almost all of my support games.
Uhh almost every game facing someone I need grev wounds for or facing ad with no heal why would I not take ignite is the quesiton.
