Why Diana, but not Riven

In the bloodmoon gametype...

Seriously looking at the champions, riven is almost more of an assassin based on riot's own definition and description.

: 3rd hit modifier : Auto modifier Slow : Stun Displacement : Displacement Ranged/AoE Poke : Ranged/AoE Execute Shield : Shield 825 Target Dash : 1105 untargeted dashing (obviously Diana can reset with her Q though)

Seriously, looking at these champions, on what makes them "assassins", Riven has an execute and escaping power over Diana. And i'm not even going to get into how Ekko and Yasuo made the list, while falling under the same classification as Riven.

Diana goes in. Period. Riven uses two dashes to go in, realize she's made a mistake, and uses the other two to get out. Camille only made it through because she's new. I would almost guarantee that

LeBlanc is better at getting into the fight and then getting out than Riven is by miles, and she got in.

Getting in and out of fights is literally part of an assassin's identity.

Diana gets on to people faster, and bursts them down really fast too. Riven has to use multiple dashes to close the same distance that Diana can with one R.

Yes, but riven bursts them down faster and has an escape, which is part of riot's description of the "assassin fantasy" and also displayed in champions like LB and Zed

do people actually believe riven can just use 2 qs insta 100-0 someone and then q out with an e which has the same gap closer distance as a flash ? (sarcasm)

if thats how you guys perceive riven gameplay then you have never actually played that champion before.

That's not at all how i perceive riven's gameplay. Though I do think it is amiss to not describe it as assassination.

She is just as much an assassin as ekko, yasuo or kennen, and as i described in the OP she's got just about identical tools as Diana for assassinating, if not more overall.
