@Riot, turned your back on the claim supporting offroles paired, Irelia response, Part 2
> {quoted} > > The decision on this was made because the Irelia dev team felt like there was a legitimate chance her jungle performance would outshine her solo lane performance. If this was a brand new champion, that might be okay, but in her case, they thought it would be a large disservice to her current player base if they felt the champion they received with their update was no longer a solo laner. Yes, I'm aware that other champions have suffered this fate in the past. The intent is that jungling is still a legitimate option for Irelia upon release, and if it turns out to perform far worse than her solo lanes, we can buff it up to be closer to parity.
2 days of PBE and a hotfix that has contention with the mains community, but lets focus on the offrole issue. For those that truly think that she came out with too much damage.
Irelia's Stat Changes from Pre-Rework to Hotfix Nerf Base HP: 607.2 --> 580 --> 550 HP Growth: 90 --> 85 Base AD: 70 --> 63 --> 60 AD Growth : 3.3 --> 4 Base Armor: 34 --> 31 Armor Growth: 3.75 --> 3 Bonus Attack Speed Growth: 3.2 --> 2.5 Mana Growth: 32 --> 30 Movement Speed: 345 --> 340 Attack Range: 125 --> 200 Health growth: 90 --> 85 Base attack speed: 0.665 --> 0.625
Q Damage: 20 / 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 (+ 120% AD) --> 10 / 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 (+ 70% AD) Note that this is literally less damaging than an auto until it is rank 3 currently where prenerf it was only weaker at rank 1 Cooldown: 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 --> 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8
The hotfix took something that was an actually pretty extreme struggle despite aiming to be "a legitimate option" and removed legitimacy from it altogether. Considering by lolalytics as I type this the offrolejungle playrate is actually a little over the midlane offrole playrate it can even be argued of it being worth putting proper time and thought into before making such sweeping global changes. There was previously 2 targeted nerfs placed towards this option and now there was a double down of weakening both damage and survivability in the crossfire. It is not unreasonable to say that both the Q needs to regain it's damage buffs to non champs instead of just minions and the E needs to have it's reduced damage to monsters flat out removed.
Lets make jungling a legitimate option. I hope that the words of intent were not a lie.
