WHAT IF..... Alistar could headbutt teammates? :D

Seriously though, after you're done laughing at how ridiculous it seems:

  • Headbutt allies out of the way of deadly skillshots
  • Headbutt immobile allies towards enemies to engage/finish them off
  • Headbutt allies over walls to get them out of danger
  • Headbutt the jungler over the dragon wall to let them smitesteal
  • Headbutt allies to get to lane faster
  • Headbutt allies out of enemy tower range after towerdiving
  • Headbutt an ally to disengage from a fight if you're in the middle of it
  • More?

I honestly think alistar could use a little something to spice up his support capabilities a bit, he's very linear and dull at the moment IMO. Giving some of his skill alternate uses would make him a lot more interesting to play, due to meaningful choices presenting themselves more often.

As far as trolling goes, well... I think Riot has kind of gone balls to the wall with champions like kalista, bard, jarvan, anivia. What's one more?

Riot is worried about people trolling if you ever make an ability that intentionally changes a teammate's positioning. Can't you just picture it? An Alistar headbutting his adc into the enemy because they're arguing? haha

As amusing and troll worthy the ability COULD be, the potential for skillful outplays is there as well.

And you can't balance around the minority few who would troll. Because, if people want to troll, they are going to troll.

Personally, I'd love to see this. Especially since Riot now allows Bard's ultimate to exist, so this should be a-ok.

It's honestly a really cool thought, and I would love to play Alistar if I could do these stuff.

Cannot/should no be done, because your ally has no say in this. You should never be displaced by an ally, this could do more harm than good, not to mention trolling attempts and misclicks etc. I think the only exception of this is Kalista ult, but at least she binds the support and the support can expect when to be pulled and can actually decide where to be thrown. Even slight displacements like anivia wall and trundle pillar are problematic.

That aside, I think the Alistaw W change that didn't go through, would be a nice buff (his W was going to be a skillshot but it was reverted).

Having been the victim of enough Alistairs headbutting squishy enemies away from engages, headbutting tanks into our teams, I'll pass. Fun idea, I just don't see it being as useful. If this was allowed shouldn't Sion be able to punt friendly minions? Shouldn't Blitzs hook pull allies too? Opens a flood gate.
